Chapter 22

Luke's POV**

I was on my way to Shusi Rox with Ethan. We were playing with a Soccer ball and Ethan accidentally hit some blonde girl in the head making her fall on her head.

" OW " she screamed.

Me and Ethan looked at each other in an " oh shit " face

We ran to pick up the girl, it also happened to be the same girl from the other night.

" hey are you alright ? I'm sorry I kicked the ball to you like that, it really wasn't my intension " Ethan apolagized.

"It's cool, it didn't really hurt I guess it was just the fact that I didn't see it coming, but don't worry about it " She said.

"Mmmh Ethan how about you go get us some food and I'll get her some ice and take the ball back to the room "

Ethan looked at me confused but didn't say a thing

I raised my eyebrows then moved my eyes to her.

I think he got the memo and he goes " Alright dude I'll see ya later " he smiled creepy and moved his eyebrows danced one after the other.

" You don't have to take me , i can't do it I swear I'm good, I can handle it " she said

" no I insist, we got you hurt and now I have to treat you to make you feel better." I smiled

She smiled back. She had such a beautiful smile.

" I feel like I've seen you before " she said

" Uh yeah , the other day you sort of collapsed- "

" oh my god , that was so embarrassing"

" not really, you were in luck though. Because I was there " I winked and she laughed.

We got ice and she held it to her right part of her face.

" Say, I never got your name ? " I said

" Alexa , and you are ? "

" Luke, Luke Garret. Pleasure to
Meet you "

She smiled and shook my hand.
She's such a smiley person. Nothing like I've ever seen before.

" Would you like some ice cream, Alexa ? "

" I already have ice on my face "

" Well now you can have some ice for your mouth "

She laughed , " Alright alright "

I ordered her a vanilla and chocolate ice cream while I got plain chocolate.

Alexa's POV **
We sat by the fountain eating our ice cream. He told me about himself , and He seemed pretty interested in knowing about me.

" So tell me about your family, how many sisters and brothers do you have " he asked.

I hate talking about my family.

"Actually I'm , I'm an only child. " I said.

" I am too, " he told me

We smiled.

" what about your parents, what are they like ? "

"My mom's actually not with us anymore. She passed a couple years ago, " I could feel a drop rolling down my cheek. I looked down so he wouldn't see. " but my dad, he's great. He use to come here as a teen and he's all I could ever ask for " I fake smiled.

He looked down, " My dad use to come here when he was younger too."

Luke's POV**

" That's cool maybe they knew each other" she smiled.

If fascinates me how even when I know she's sad , maybe even wanting to cry rivers inside. She manages to smile and pretend like nothing's happening. Like it doesn't bother her.

" I'm sorry I brought up that topic, I didn't know. " I said

I grabbed her hand. " If it makes you feel any better, my mom passed 30 minutes after I was born "

It was true, or so I've Been told. My mom could've not had me. But she loved me too much she sacrificed her life, so I could live.

" you poor thing " she squeezed my hand. 

"It's fine , I just know she always looks out for me, she's up there guiding me through everything just as your mom is. "

She looked up at me and gave me a warm smile.

I leaned in , we were close.
She looked in my eyes as i looked into hers.

"I, uh , think we should get going " she said.

" yeah you're right, it's getting dark"

I walked her to her room which was B101.

I swear I've heard my dad say that one too many times I just don't remember what he said about it.

We reached her room, and she hugged me goodbye. She opened the door to her dorm

I felt her roommates stare at me from the little she had opened the door

" Thank you for everything " she smiled and closed the door.
