Abby was making me watch Asia learn her routine. And let me just tell you good was an understatement. She obviously had a background of gymnastics and an early start in dance but I started dance early too. So she wasn't that good. Okay what am I kidding. Her turns were amazing and she had sass. I wish I could do a solo like that. But my mom wanted me to stay 'cute' and so did Abby. Asia was younger than me and she'd more mature solo's while I was stuck with bumblebee solos. I'm 9 now I can't stay cute forever I'm growing up. Maybe they think that's the only way I can win. I mean look at Asia she did sassy solos and people thought she was cute maybe even cuter than me. We've gotten closer in a few hours but how can be best friends if every time I look at her I see what I want to be. I never knew life was so hard and I haven't hit puberty yet. I slumped my face in my hands as Asia's solo music ended. "Kenzie, you two can learn from each other" Abby said. We both agreed and walked back to the dressing room. "Asia you and your mom wait for me in the dressing room" Abby said.

All the girls had left and my mom and I were waiting on Miss Abby. Finally she entered the room. "Kristie wherever you took Asia before you need your money back" Miss Abby started. My nodded. "Asia your feet are so sickled all the time your knees are knocking, kristie you need get those feet under control I want you to be a real dancer like ... Maddie you have the face and the sass and the determination and inspiration you just need to work on those feet and you will be fine" My mom nodded and we stood to leave.
