"Nine days, seven hours, and four minutes," I stated.
"Since what?" Dan questioned.
"Since you last had an existential crisis."
"Has it really been that long?!" Dan said, sounding shocked. I nodded, and he stared at me in disbelief. As we turned our attention towards Sylv, she darted towards us. She bounded herself at us and landed in the very small gap between me and Dan. I lifted her onto my lap as I placed my legs up onto the coffee table to my left. Sylv made herself comfortable and somehow managed to manoeuvre herself onto both mine and Dan's laps simultaneously. I have to admit, I was kind of uncomfortable, but it was alright because I had the two people I loved the most next to me.

After looking down to check Sylv was asleep, I faced Dan. He looked back at me and leaned in. Our lips met and his hand crept up to my cheek. As he pulled back, he placed his hand down whilst bringing the other one up to meet my face. Dan pinched my cheek gently, then ran his fingers through my jet black hair.
"I love you," he whispered.
"I love you too," I replied. I glanced down at Sylv, who happened to be awake and grinning to the point that it looked painful. She started giggling.
"And I love you, too!" Dan said, Sylv's attention now darting towards him. He tapped her nose and giggled. I smiled and stared at them. Sylv jumped up and threw herself back onto our laps, right in the wrong place! I keeled over and nudged her over to the side a little bit, all whilst moving to the left a bit myself.
