"are you excited to bowl?" tc asked vanessa as they walked into the entrance of the bowling alley.

their hands were entwined and she leaned against his steady frame as they walked together.

"yes, minus the whole 'wearing other people's' shoes thing." she responded,

"yeah, that's nasty as fuck. do you want me to buy you your own pair?" he surveyed her face.

"no, I'll be fine." she smiled, looking at his lips.

"are you sure?"

"you don't have to buy me things." she affirmed.

"hm, I want to. so, you're getting new shoes."

"timmy," she said, "what the fuck am I gonna do with bowling shoes?"

by now they were leaning against the counter at the beginning of the bowling alley. tc paid for their shoes and their ticket. he eventually understood that she didn't want shoes so he let the thought go.

"you're right." he said, smiling a bit.

from across the alley tatiana untied her shoes then put on her bowling shoes.

"nick! look the floors slippery." she said sliding on the wood floor. nick laughed and joined her in the sliding.

"they're so annoying." vanessa whispered to timmy as they put on their shoes across from them.

"I think it looks fun." tc said, strapping the velcro of his shoes, "come on."

he stood up and extended his hand to hers, she took it reluctantly and they slid against the floor.

"look who's joining the party!" tatiana said jokingly, smiling at vanessa.

"yeah." she responded quietly.

tc continued to hold van's hand as they slid, but she lost her footing and fell into his arms, her face getting buried in his chest. she started to laugh against him but he was quiet.

"what?" she asked and looked up at timmy's face.

"your laugh," he said, "it's better than any song I could ever write."

vanessa's cheeks flushed read and she smiled.

"I love y-" her declaration was stopped by zach's voice.

"ARIEL!" he called, running towards her from the door.

"ZACH!" she laughed and jumped into his arms as he spun her around.

their words were quiet so no one could really make them out but they looked happy to see each other.

"remember the first time we met?" tc asked turning back his attention to vanessa.

"yeah, that was like three weeks ago." she said.

"feels like years."

"I guess."

she smiled at him and placed a kiss on his t-shirt covered collar.

"AW, they're so cute." tatiana said smiling at zariel.

"yeah, but not as cute as us baby." nick said to her and made her giggle.

ariel and zach made their way to the area that everyone else was at and sat down next to each other.

"let's get bowling!" tatiana clapped her hands and picked up a pink bowling ball, making her way to the lane.

she threw her hand back and swung the ball into the pins, automatically getting a strike. zach, ariel, edwin, nick, timmy and even vanessa let out a small 'woo' for her.

"that's my baby!" nick called out.

"I need to pee, babe," timmy said to vanessa, "I'll be right back."

"alright, daddy."

next up was vanessa, how the hell was she gonna follow tatiana up.

"you got this!" zach said.

"yeah! vanessa!" edwin called.

"you got this girl!" tatiana smiled.

vanessa picked up a green bowling ball, wincing once she put her fingers in because the holes were to small but she ignored it.

once she was at the front of her lane she drew her hand back and tried to swing it forward but it wouldn't come off of her finger.

she knew something was incredible wrong when a loud pop sound emitted from her index and middle finger, followed by an unbearable pain.

did I seriously just dislocate both my fingers on a bowling ball?

with little shame, she fell to the floor and started to cry, finally freeing her hands from the bowling ball and sobbing. her fingers were still attached with skin but they were limp like noodles. their original tan color was replaced by purples and blues.

"baby, shh," a voice said from behind her, holding her, "it's okay."

the voice was unfamiliar at first, it wasn't timmy. no, it was nick.
