a/n: some of y'all don't understand still but every other chapter the storyline changes!!! this chapter is current, next chapter is a flashback with nick and vanessa.

"fuck, tc. I don't wanna meet your family. that's scary." vanessa whined into his chest.

"baby," he put his hands on her shoulders and looked at her face, "they'll love you."

"how do you know?"

"because," he sighed, "I love you, and they love me."

"so it's like a circle of love?" she joked.

"yep, you love me..." he said.

"and you love me..." she added.

"so they'll love you..."

"and I'll love them." she smiled, placing a kiss on his nose.

"we're catching an uber there." he said and she nodded.

nick, zach and edwin were going to head to the new apartment they were going to share so timmy and vanessa could be alone.

nick's eyes wandered over vanessa's, he silently begged for her to not say anything to timmy about their kiss and for some reason she agreed.

--

timmy got his bags from the trunk of the car and got vanessa's backpack for her. he got his keys from his pocket and unlocked the door to his house.

"mom?! dad!? I'm home!" timmy called into the house.

his voice got the attention of his dogs who ran to his & vanessa's side and biting and nipping at their fingers.

"down!" he sternly said to them, they strode away with their tail between their legs.

"timmy?! you're home?" his mom called from upstairs.

"yes! I brought someone to meet you!" he called go her.

"alright! come on up." she said.

vanessa entwined her sweaty/nervous fingers with his as they went up the flight of stairs.

"mom..." timmy said the closer they got to her door, "this is vanessa."

"hi vanessa," his mom smiled widely, pulling her in for a hug.

"hi, mrs. connors." she smiled hugging her tightly.

"timothy has told me so much about you."

"all good I hope." vanessa glanced over at timmy and he winked.

"of course, you seem like a great girl."

"thank you so much, it's nice to finally meet you. how was your day?" vanessa
felt her muscles relax, this wasn't so bad.

--

his dad came over and they hung out all together as timmy's mom was out getting food from mcdonald's for dinner since she didn't wanna cook.

they all sat together on the large couch, vanessa stayed cuddled with timmy though.

"im glad timmy finally got a girlfriend," his dad said, "me and his mom started to think he was gay, not that there's anything wrong with it or anything, we just thought...."

"oh, it's alright," vanessa laughed, "I thought he was gay too there for a while."

his dad laughed and shook his head. the stairs made a creaking noise as someone walked down them.

"hey, little brother!" glenn (this may be fake but I don't remember how many n's there are in his name).

"hey!" timmy got up and hugged his older brother. he hadn't seen him since he had left for the military.

"who's this?" glenn asked as he glanced at vanessa on the couch, she stood up to greet him.

"glenn," timmy said, "this is my girlfriend, vanessa."

"no shit," glenn said as he shook her hand, "we all figured that he was gay."

"yeah, that's not surprising." she laughed.

overall, meeting tc's family wasn't as bad as vanessa would have thought. and as eventually the night came to a close, tc and vanessa broadcasted together then laid together in bed.

"I told you that they would love you." timmy whispered to her.

"im surprised that you turned the lights off." vanessa whispered back.

"why?"

"because you're scared of the dark."she explained, trying to find his face in the dark of the room.

"im not scared of anything when you're with me, you should know that babygirl."

"that was really sweet but it was also really fucking gay." she laughed.

"shut up and go to bed."

"whatever." she sighed and closed her eyes.

eventually timmy's snores coaxed her to sleep and she was relaxed. in the middle of the night she turned to the other side of the bed, trying to grip timmy harder but he wasn't laying next to her.

"timmy?" she asked to the pitch black room but he didn't respond.

she slowly opened the door, her toes padding lightly on the carpet floor. she stood at the top of the stairs, listening to the voices at the bottom of it.

"how are you gonna say that?" timmy asked glenn.

"I just don't like her!" he responded in a hushed tone.

"but glenn," timmy groaned, "she's my girlfriend."
