The New British Boy

chapter 1

The screaming sounds of a baby rattled all the bones in my body and at that moment I knew that things would never be the same between us ever again.

A year before....

The bell rang and I left my algebra class as fast as I could. I couldn't wait for us to get out of school for summer in a week. I hate school with a passion, so much that I skipped school at least four times a week and I never did my homework. Homework was the death of me.

After I got my gym bag out of my locker my friend Adri told me "hey fawn hurry up I need to get home and eat" I said "Ok idiot I call eating the peperoni pizza" we both laughed and got on our skateboards and rolled out of the school.

Once we passed the old drug store we knew we were getting close to the house and decided to walk the rest of the way. We turned the corner and I noticed a moving truck in front of the yellow house across from mine. Adri asked "Since when did the old couple that used to live there move out?" I didn't know the answer to that question so I didn't answer it.

I  saw a family get out of the front row of the truck, they looked like they were a normal family there was a wife, husband, little girl, and a boy that looked about my age. I didn't get a good look at the boy but from what I could see he had brown hair. Adri said, "come on let's take a closer look" we sneaked around the truck and hid behind the bushes to see them better.

We were watching them carry box after box out of the truck and into the house. We saw that they all had brown hair and brown eyes with pale skin. The mom yelled, "Louis come help move the TV!". She had a thick British accent. A boy yelled out, " Ok mom I'm coming" he also had a thick British accent. The boy ran out of the house and when I saw him time stopped. His hair was so shinny and his green eyes were sparkling in the sun.

I guess I was drooling a little and Adri elbowed me in the arm and said, "awww some one has a crush" I tried to tell her that I don't have a crush on him but inside I really did.

Our eyes meet and we stare at each other and his face expressions show that he is scared or worried. Then all of a sudden I hear "mum, I think there is some one in our bushes" me and Adri looked at each other and froze in fright.
