Chapter 4

The first thing I did the next morning was check my phone and realised that I have over slept an hour but I wasn't worried because I hate going to school anyways. I looked out the window to see if there was any activity going on, then I saw that louis' mum's minivan was still parked in hus drive way.

I threw my self together. I didn't have time to brush my hair or teeth so I looked like a homeless person. But there was something I didn't realize my, I didn't have a way to school and it was too late to start walking or I would be late. To try to hitch a ride I went into my driveway and sat down.

After a minute of sitting in the hot sun louis and his mum walked out of his house and his mum looked over at me and had a strange look. She yelled "Hey fawn is everything okay?" I replied "yes mam". She replied "do you need a ride to school?". "Thank you for asking and yes please". I got up off of the hot ground and started to their drive way.

As I got into her car I buckled up and I sat there in the back seat. We just sat there in the car and I was wondering why we weren't moving then I realized she hasn't dropped off louis either, she had just dropped off his sister.

I sat there and my heart rate and breathing increased. I could feel my palms getting sweaty. Ms. Tomlinson was looking at me through the rear-view mirror and asked me "is everything alright?" I knew I had to think of an excuse fast. "Yes mam I just remembered that I didn't do last night's homework". She replied "oh ok". I'm pretty sure that she thought my excuse was valid.

I hear a door slam shut and out of the corner of my eye I see louis and my heart rate increases even more. He got into the car and gave me a strange look then said "umm, mum why is our neighbor in the car" she replied "louis be nice, she over slept and needs a ride and when our neighbors need help, we help them out" louis replied "Well okay then, I'm not complaining".

The whole ride to school was very nerve racking for me. He occasionally looked at me and gave me a friendly smile. He even asked me about my schedule. Turns out we have last period together. After of what seemed like an eternity, we arrived at the school. I thanked his mom for giving me and ride and if there is anything she needs tell me.

I walked into the hallways of the school and walked away from Louis to find Adri. Once I found her she asked me "dang what took you so long to get here, I was waiting for you in the cafeteria, they served cinnamon  rolls" I replied "what, I missed cinnamon roll day, wait I can't get distracted..." I told her what all happend. I could see her mind start to think of ideas. "You're thinking, that dangerous said. "Oh nothing I'm not thinking at all" she said. I gave her a witty smirk and we headed to our first period.

It was finally 5th period and that means lunch. I waited for Adri out side her class. I saw her about to walk through the door when I saw Louis right behind her. I avoided eye contact and walked away as fast as I could with Adri. We went and got out lunch and sat down at our regular place. We gossiped about our teachers and the nerds sitting over by the trash can.

We both looked over by the trash can and noticed louis sitting alone. Adri looked at me with a huge smile. I knew what she was going to do. She sprang out of her seat and I tried to grab her but the slipped out of my hands. I saw her sit down next to Louis and talk to him. The next munite they both stood up and walked over my way. They got comfortable at my table and started to talk. The next thing I know I heard Adri say "Isn't that right Fawn" I didn't know what they were talking about so I just nodded my head and continued reading my book.

The bell that ended lunch finally rang and I went and pulled Adri to the side and asked "What were you thinking" she replied "I'm trying to get yall to start talking to eachother" I can feel my face turn red in anger and walked away.

I didn't talk to Adri for a couple of hours, I needed time to blow off steam. When the bell rang to end the day I tried to act like nothing had happend and waited for Adri then left school.
