The New British Boy

Chapter 2

"FAWN!!!" Adri screams "They saw us let's get out of here" Adri and I run as fast as we can into my house. Once we get inside and slam the door shut we can hear footsteps coming up my porch.

The footsteps stop and then we hear someone knocking on my door. I reached over and closed the curtains. After five minutes of being silent and still we hear footsteps leave and Adri and I both take a deep breath and start laughing.

Adri said "Good thing your mom isn't home" I agreed. My mom is never home because she is always away on work trips and partying in New York or any other places around the world that throws the best parties. My dad died of cancer when I was 3. But I'm 17 now and I don't realy miss him because I don't remember him. Adri is the closesed thing I have to family.

"Hey idiot what type of pizza do you want" said Adri. I replied "I'm not hungry". She responded "What is wrong with you, you normally eat mounds of food.... wait is it that boy". I didn't have the chance to get a word out of my mouth before she started to scream and jump and say "FAWN HAS A CRUSH, FAWN HAD A CRUSH". I said "shut up, did you see his perfect hair and perfect teeth and who doesn't love a good European accent".

"Well" she said "He is your neighbor, so that means we will be going to the same highschool". She was right now I accually have a reason to show up at school. The more I think about it the creepier I get. Me wanting to go to school to see a boy, sound like something out of a love story, yuck. But then I accept the thought of being in a love novel because every one gets their happily ever after. When I was younger I wanted to grow up to be a princess and wanted to have a happily ever after but then my dad died and learned that there is no such thing as happily ever after.

But at this moment every thing felt like it was going to change. The princess inside my emo exterior was wanting to shine out so I can get a happily ever after. But then reality set in and realised that there was every thing wrong in the world and I still had to go to school and I had to deal with the fact that I will never have a chance with him.

I stood up out of the door way and went into the kitchen with Adri and put two pizzas in the oven then went into the living room and turned on the TV. Mine and Adri's favorite TV show "Catfish" came on and we sat there and talked about the latest drama going on at our school and how we wish every one would just get along. Once the oven went off we cut the pizza and started eating it piece by piece.

We were both on our last piece when we heard a knock on the door. Adri and I both looked at each other with big round eyes. We wiped the pizza sauce off our faces and walked to the door. We looked out the window to see who it was and it was the family that had just moved in across the street.
