A rouge vampire who comes to forks looking for Emmett.

I pull into the parking lot fishtailing into a parking lot. Kids already in the lot start to stare at my car and the tire treads that follow it. Me and my bright hyper color Jaguar XF. I just got it and I swear if any stupid human scratches it I'm going to rip their head off.

I hop out and I bet nobody expected to see a pale, brown eyes, dark haired girl in a simple T shirt and jeans. I felt like slumming it today. I walk to the Front Office.

"Inside it was brightly lit, and warmer than I'd hoped. The office was small; a little waiting area with padded folding chairs, orange-flecked commercial carpet, notices and awards cluttering the walls, a big clock ticking loudly. Plants grew everywhere in large plastic pots, as if there wasn't enough greenery outside. The room was cut in half by a long counter, cluttered with wire baskets full of papers and brightly colored flyers taped to its front. There were three desks behind the counter, one of which was named by a large, red-haired woman wearing glasses." (Twilight, Stephanie Meyer, pg 13)

"How can I help you?" She sweetly smiles. How cute, she's one of those nice ladies.

"Yes. I'm looking for an Emmett McCarty Cullen." My Tennessee accent spewing out.

"I'm sorry, are you a relative?" She starts to look at me with a confused face. I lean on the counter and look straight into her eyes.

"I am looking for Emmett McCarty Cullen. Could you tell me if he's attending this school?" I beam, and her expression turns blank.

"Of course miss-" a grin pulls at her lips as she turns to her computer.

"Tannis."

"Well Miss Tannis. I am pleased to inform you that Emmett Cullen does attend this school, along with his four other siblings. I hope that helps Ms. Tannis." She looks up at me with a blank smile and black eyes.

"Thank you so much. And please don't mention this to any one. Thank you." I smile and I'm about to leave but then I turn around. "Could you be a dear and hand me a visitors tag? And point me in the direction of the school cafeteria." I add with a sweet smile.

"Of course." She explains how to reach the cafeteria and then hands me a card that I can pin on my shirt.

"You have been so helpful. And remember, no one shall know." I tease and finally blink. The ladies eyes return to normal and she blinks in sudden confusion. I walk out before she sees my face.

I sit and wait for lunch to start, shooing away school officials with a blink. Then I see him. Tall, handsome, and as happy as ever with a blonde on his arm.

We were the best of friends, true, he was a drunk 70%, and a gambler, and a jerk 80% of his young human life, but as a child they had the most amazing adventures. Running around, getting into trouble. Being the jerk that he was sometimes never made me love him that way. He was like a brother to me. Him and his new siblings all stare at me. Four of the five look so mad I entertain the thought of their heads flying off. But Emmett, Emmett's eyes register recognition, and boyish Happiness. I rise up from my seat and skip to him in a human speed smiling for real since the first time since I found out he was alive.

"Avery?" He asks, it sounds just as inviting as it did over 70 years ago.

"Hey there you." If a vampire could cry, that's what I'd be doing right now. Sobbing like a big baby. I've found my best friend. He doesn't say anything else; he just pulls me into a hug that would crush a normal human.
