Regina's Point of View:

Its a half a days ride back to my castle. I smile as I comb my fingers through long brunette hair. The hair that belongs to a young girl, who is fast asleep on my lap. I don't quite understand how I put myself in this situation. I look down at you, and smile softly as I feel nothing but warmth.

I spent half my day inside my carriage on a trip to a small village named Dove Town. One of my guards had reported that Snow White has been seen there, and was being aided by the towns people. I decided to travel there, and remind the people who their dealing with. Once I arrived I gave the cowering people my signature scowl. I gave the villagers two proper warnings that if they refused to tell me anything, then I will kill one of them. I picked one of the stronger looking villagers, and ordered my guards to kill him. When they advanced on him, a young brunette girl leapt out behind a tree running towards them screaming at the top of her lungs for him to stop.

I watched as my guards ignored the girls foolish act of bravery. Just as he swung his sword, the young girl bended a large rock at the guards head. The guard fell onto his back, and had been knocked out. I've never seen a young child perform magic before. My other guards advanced on her, and with one quick hand motion, she knocked two of them half way across the town square. The other to continued to advance slowly on the girl. She made another hand motion, and sunk the last two guards into the ground. I looked at the defeated guards baffled. She glanced at me, and bolted in the other directions into the wood.

I collected myself, and transported myself to the girl. Once I contained her, she explained that she is against Snow, and is on my side. She said her name is Mara. I don't understand what it was, but I felt a strong connection to this girl. She has a certain prettiness about her, also a familiarity. She reminds me of someone, but I don't know who exactly. I have a great urge to protect her. Before I knew it I offered her a home in my castle. Over half way through the trip Mara had fallen asleep. I smile, and scoop you into my arms, running my fingers through your hair. I look at you, and study your relaxed features. you cant be more than sixteen, yet your eyes look much older. you have beautiful wavy dark brown hair, that frames your olive toned face beautifully. I pull your hair out of its bun, and I start to braid your long locks.

We're finally at my castle. I give a tired sigh, and watch as the guard opens the door for me. He lifts Mara up carefully, and I climb out of the carriage."Your majesty. Would you like me to take the girl to a guest room?" He said in a emotionless fashion. "No. Her name is Mara, and I will take care of my guest." I say flatly. I take you, and smile as you automatically cling onto me, and burry your face into my chest, as you sleep. I carry the surprisingly light girl to the chambers next to mine. This chamber used to be mine, before I married the former king. I walk across the abandoned room, and lay you on the bed. I pull The blankets over you, and tuck your tired body in. "First thing tomorrow your taking a bath Princess." I smile. and light the fire before I leave. I go to my room, and disrobe myself, and put on a nice white night gown. I crawl into my bed, and think of the many magic lessons I'm going to teach you. I close my eyes, and drift to sleep.

Mara's Point of View:

I wake up in the most comfortable bed I've ever laid on. Where the hell am I? I sit up, and look around the room. I look through the balcony door, and see the sun is starting to rise. The fire is glowing with embers. I'm in a light purple room. I see a large vanity, multiple wardrobes, and a chest at the end of the bed. How did I get here? I blush when I realize I fell asleep in the carriage. I'm sure The Queen made a guard bring me here.

I stretch, and run my fingers through my hair. I furrow my brows confused when I notice my hair is in a fancy braid. Wait, what? I didn't do that. I try to remember how that happened. I remember watching the sunset. I closed my eyes, and felt warm arms hold me... "Did the Queen braid my hair?" I blush at the thought. I get up, and walk around the room. Obviously by the multiple gowns, and accessories this was a woman's room. There's a massive grandfather clock. It's 8:20. I look at the side, and notice a carving. Its an apple tree, and the initials R and D Forever written underneath it.

I here a knock at the door, and mumble nervously. "C-Come in?" The door opens, and Regina's head pops in the room. She's wearing a lovely robe, over a white night gown. She has very little make up on, and she still looks absolutely perfect.

"Good your up. There's a bath waiting for you down the hall. After your done cleaning up, I want you to go down stairs, and eat your breakfast. Your going to need the energy. We start your training at noon."

"Oh.. uh. Yes Your Ma.. I mean Regina." I say nervously. She flashes me a kind smile. "What am I supposed to wear after?" I say as I look at my feet. She walks to the wardrobe, and looks through the dresses. She pulls out a Dark purple laced dress, and hands it to me.

"This should fit you quite nicely. When your done, put this on, and eat breakfast, then I will come, and fix your hair for you." I nod, and look at the dress. "Hurry along now. I don't want your bath getting cold." I nod quickly, and shuffle out of the room, and down the hall and into the bathroom, with a bath the size of my bed. I smile, and undress myself. I climb into the hot bath, and for the first time in a long time, I feel happy.
