I run as fast as I can while I'm muddy, and naked through the cold castle. I hear Regina giggle as she heads to her room. Thankfully there's a hot bubble bath waiting for me when I get to the bathroom. " Oh.. Thank you Martha." I wince as I climb into the hot water. The water stings the multiple cuts on my body. I hate to admit it, but Regina kicked my ass in the lesson. I cant believe she actually forced me to walk through the castle naked as a punishment for throwing her into the pond. I wash the mud off my body, and grumble as I cant get the embarrassment off my neck.

I finish cleaning myself, and brush my hair. I grumble once more when I realize I don't have anything else to put on. I open the bathroom door, and poke my head out. "Um Regina?! I shout down the hall to her bedroom. " Yes dear?" She said quickly " I, uh. I don't have anything to wear." Regina didn't say anything for a few minutes. She opens her bedroom door, and walks down the hall with a dark blue gown. "Here you go sweetie. try not to ruin this one." She says with a sweet smile. She hands it to me, and I take it smiling. "Thank you.." She nods, and goes back to her room. I put on the gown, put my hair into a messy bun, and walk down to the kitchen.

Martha's making some kind of pastry, and Cook is singing a very loud Italian operatic song, while carving a big swan. The amazing smells flood my nose "Hi Mara!" Martha rings in a melodic fashion. "Hi Martha, what smells so good?" I say as I lazily enter, holding my tummy when I feel it grumble. She adds a cup of flour to the bowl she's mixing. "That would be roast swan, pumpernickel bread, rice, green beans, and the finest chocolate cake in all the kingdom, if I do say so myself." She says with a smile. "Mmm. I don't think I can wait! it sounds so good!" I say practically drooling. She laughs and hands me the chocolate covered spoon she was using to mix the cake. I take it, and lick it happily.

"So, what do you do for fun around here?" I ask as I create a chocolate mask around my mouth. Martha giggles, and puts the cake in a large stone fire pit. "I have some skipping rope you can have." I shrug. "I've never used one before. What do you do with it?" I ask as I put the spoon in the wash pile. "What?! You don't know what a skipping rope is? What on earth did you play with when you were a little girl?" She dusts off her apron, and takes a sip of water. "I didn't have any toys growing up. But I did tend to a garden. All I had were green beans, tomato's, and tulips. It was a very small garden, but it was my favorite thing to do on a nice hot day." Martha smiles, and hands me a cloth to wipe my mouth. "You know back in the court yard there's a grand garden that outstretches  all the way to the edge of the Queens property. You should explore it. There's enough tending to do in there that should keep you busy for years." She starts pouring a glass of whine.

"Thank you Martha. Ill definitely take a look." I smile, and stir the rice for a few minutes, until Cook shoes me away from the fire. Cook takes the spoon, and starts stirring the rice herself. "You best be careful going into that garden. There's a barrier spell that surrounds this castle. Once you pass the apple tree, you cant come back, unless the Queen brings you in herself. And she doesn't like to be bothered by silly things such as that." Cook says in an annoyed fashion. I nod.

"So Martha, do you know how to play poker?" I ask with a grin. I NEVER loose at poker. "No. But the Queen does. In fact she's quite good." She says with a smile. "I bet I could kick her ass at it. If there's one thing I'm good at, its poker." Martha rolled her eyes. "I'd be careful. You wouldn't want the Queen to here you say such things." She says with a light smile. "Let her hear." I say cockily. "I'm not, nor have I ever been afraid of her. I even kicked her ass in my magic lesson today. I sent her flying into the pond." I slightly embellish.
