I Love You, Jacob

Chapter 1-

Bella's P.O.V

Lying here in this bed, alone. My body is soaking up pure nothingness. I don't know how I ever got to this place of sorrow. I don't understand how Edward could just leave me like this. How could he do this to me? Where is the love that he harvested for me? Did he even love me at all? Apart of my heart wants to just lie here forever and just sit in misery. The other side of me wants to march up to Edward and show him all the pain he has caused. I don't want this life without him,. I need him!

How can I get Edward to comeback?

That's when it hit me. Edward made me promise not to be reckless. But that promise doesn't matter anymore because he promised to never hurt me,   and he did.  The only way for me to see him again was to be reckless. At that moment, I got up out of bed and rushed down the stairs.

" Bells? Are you okay?" Charlie asked

" Yeah Dad I'm fine. I'll be back." 

"Well where ya going?"

I didn't answer him. I couldn't.

I grabbed my keys and left. I got into my car and started driving to the cliff where I saw every one jumping off off before. Once I got there I hopped out as fast as possible and ran to the cliff.

I took a deep breath and walked forward. Before I could reach the edge I heard my name.

"BELLA!" i ignored it knowing it was just Edward in my mind, not in my sight. I took another step closer and was right over the edge this time. "BELLA!" I heard it again. I stopped realizing it wasn't in my head this time. I turned around and saw Jacob standing there shirtless zipping up his pants. He must have just phased back human.

"jake. What are you doing here?' i asked a little pissed off that he interupted me.

"Charlie asked me to see what you were up to-" he replied. I cut him off and mumbled under my breath.

"Figures."

"And I'm glad he told me. What were thinking Bella?" he asked a little concerned. 

I was about to tell him but I couldn't get the words out. I just looked down and closed my mouth. Jake sighed and began to shake his head. "It's him isn't it?' he asked

I shook my head yes." You wouldn't understand?"

"WHAT IS THERE TO UNDERSTAND BELLA?! he said snapping toward me.

" This jerk LEFT you high and dry. He said he doesn't want you anymore and yet here you are risking your life for nothing."

"He does love me."

There was silence for a minute or two. Until Jake decided to break the silence.

"Well if he loves you so much , where the hell is he?"

There was complete silence this time. Every time I opened my mouth to speak only air came out so I decided silence was the best option. I just stood there staring at Jake as he stared at me. 

He was right. Where was Edward when I needed him? I guess I have to realize that I'll never love the same.

"Come on Bella, let's get you home." Jake said approaching me

"No" Jake stopped walking and gave me a strange look as if he didn't know what I was going to do next. "I just wanna stay here for a while. Ya know sort some things through, think about some stuff. Okay?"

"Sure but I'm staying with you." I just nodded and sat on the ground with my legs crossed and Jake came and sat right next to me.

We sat in silence. To some people this may have been kind of awkward but it was actually kind of....nice.

By the time we decided it was time for me to go home it was dark outside. Jake and I got up and stared at each other. I reached to hug him and he hugged back. I must say it was nice to have a friend like him. He4 held my hand and we began to walk towards my truck. I didn't think anything of the hand holding at all.

Once we got to the truck I decided to let him drive since it was so dark and he's got dog eyes. Once he started pulling off I decided to break the silence.

 "Jake. Thank you." i said sincerely

"No problem Bella boo."  We both laughed at that ridiculous name. "No really Jake. You are such a good friend. I don't know where I'd be without you."

"What are friends for right?" he said kind of sarcastically. But I didn't say anything about it. We pulled up to the house and Jake turned off the car. We both got out and he walked me to the door."Well goodnight Bella." he gave me a hug and began to walk away. But I didn't want him to leave. I didn't want to be alone. Not even for a minute. "Jake"

"Yeah?"

"if its not too much trouble. Can you possibly....stay with me. I-I-I know its a lot t-to ask but-"

:"Sure Bella. Go inside I'll be up in a minute. Just make sure you open the window." he said smiling

I turned around, opened the door and walked in. All of the lights were out so I guess Charlie went to bed.

As I got to my room I closed the door and opened the window. Jacob was up in no more than five seconds. It was weird seeing Jacob in this darkness. It was so dark that all I could see was the outline of his muscular body. I didn't realize how much attention I was paying to his body so i quickly snapped out of it. I turned around and took my jacket off and put it on the chair. Jake went and sat on the bed. I sat on the bed next to him and put my knees up to my chest.

"Bella?" Jake called.

"Yeah?"

"You know I love you right?"

"yeah"

"And you know I'd never stop being your friend right?"

"Yeah,  why whats up?"

"Nothing just wanted you to know that.     Are you comfortable with talking about Edward?"

At first I said nothing but then I knew I would have to talk about him sooner or later.

"Sure."

"What was it about him? Ya know that made you....love him?"

I knew the answer so quickly but I decided not to hurt Jacob so I made the answer simple. "Everything." That was the easiest way I could put it.

The rest of the night was sort of like that. Asking and answering each other questions. I don't know the exact moment I drifted off to sleep but I know that Jacob was with me because I was really warm but I was comfortable.

That night there were no nightmares, no dreams but I was okay with that.

The next morning I woke up and I didn't feel any warmth anymore. I jumped up swiftly and began to search my room. I found a note on my desk.

    Bella, sorry I'm not there. I didn't want to wake you or Charlie. I'm at my house but I'll swing by later if you want me to. Just give me a call.

I put the note back down and went downstairs to get some breakfast.  I was feeling okay i guess. Maybe being around Jacob is exactly what I needed to get over Edward.
