I finally saw those doors up close.
Pure gold, trailed with sapphires. Small carvings were seen, leading up to an otherworldly shape. I felt my eyes water with a lust. A lust for touching the great block of treasure in front of me. I noticed Gallium taking some steps back in a calm manner, apparently knowing something I didn't. I decided maybe I should follow in his lead. Away from this unimaginable masterpiece.
Arsenic placed his palm upon the door, closing his eyes. All I heard was a boom, all I saw was Arsenic nearly being crushed by masses of air, and all I felt was my being pulled through what seemed like a keyhole.
I open my eyes to see a solid gold palace. I hear the great chatter of royalty and powerful beings dining on various tables throughout the floor. Bright colors of hair and dresses shocked my senses. Black suits and glasses of wine caught my attention. This place was merely something out of a storybook, the great chandelier damaging above. It was about the size of a mini van.
He began walking towards a flight of stairs in the center of the room, dodging as much social interaction as he could.
"C'mon." He whispered, grabbing my hand as I grabbed Gallium's. My eyes were still the size of saucers. Everyone seemed as though they were being replayed over and over, doing the same actions as they did a few minutes before.
"Don't look at their eyes."
Laughter. Rewind. Chatter. Rewind. Happiness. Rewind.
"Arsenic." I muttered in fear, confused at what was unfolding in front of me. I was watching the same thing over and over. My blood went cold and my heart pounded wildly.
He put a finger to his mouth, and drug me up the menacing stairs.
He pushed Gallium and I into a room and locked the door, putting his weight against it as though someone would break in soon.
"Arsenic, what the hell was that?" I asked a little louder, gaining my voice again.
"Corruption. Things are broken here, which means a certain person has visited. We have to go."
Arsenic reached into the pocket of his plaid shirt and pulled out a vile filled with a red liquid.
I watched him, but fully comprehended the room we were in as well. Cube shaped, white, the feeling of walls closing in. Like we were floating through space and the golden door was shrinking.
Arsenic broke into my thoughts and threw the red vile down onto the ground, glass shattering and red liquid splashing onto the walls. Gallium turned and stared at Arsenic with wide eyes, his mouth dropping open.
My feet left the floor, blackness pushed itself into my pores and my eyes. Pure, white light crackled and disintegrated in nooks and crannies of the room.
A crack of thunder split between the roof and blew us away.
