A/N: Hey sorry for being away for so long it's just hard to get around to the book but I am trying my best also I edited the book so that the tryouts were a week later
You ready?" Liam asks as we walk out to the field
"Are you? You were acting a little weird earlier this week" I asked a little concerned
"I am fine just try to keep up" he smirks and winks at me as he starts jogging the lap the coach is making us run
"Is that the best you can do" I smile running past him and I hear him chuckle
"Hardly" he sprints past me and I rush to catch up to him. We are outrunning everyone, by a long shot as I past him again but this time he looks confused. "Cass slow down" he says in a panic voice as he looks around hysterically.
"Why can't keep up?" I ask cockily
"Cass, slow down now" he says seriously and I slow down as does he. We are the first ones to finish but are out of breath.
"What was your problem?" I ask facing Liam.
"Nothing just you were goings really fast and you are gonna make enemies at these tryouts, some guys play dirty" he says protectively
"Thanks but I can handle myself" I scoff.
"Cass I did–" he is cut off by a whistle. "LINE UP EVERYBODY" the coach yells and we all get ready go kick the ball to the goal. Most of the kids either missed or were blocked by the goalie. Then came Liam, he kicked the ball powerfully and accurately into the goal. He smiles and looks at me, I smile back blushing a little. After a few more turns its my turn to kick, and I kick and hit the top corner of the net like I was practicing all week. I get some dirty looks from the boys, you see even though it's a unisex team no girls ever tryout, so I hear.
We did more and more drills till the coach split us up into two teams to scrimmage and luckily Liam and I were on the same team. We constantly passed it to each other and scored celebrating and high-fiving each other and the team. We were winning by like 4.
I got the ball again and before I can do anything, I got trucked roughly. Hitting the floor with a full impact. "What the hell, Mike!?" Liam asks angrily.
"Please, I barely touched her, she is just being a drama queen" He says laughing with a few other douchebags as Liam helps me up
"It's okay, I am fine" I say and we start playing again. Then all of sudden, my back is hit roughly by a shoulder and I fall to the ground.
"Oops, sorry prince—" Mike is cut off my Liam punching him in the face and getting on top of him and punching him again and again
"Liam stop it, Liam" I beg pulling him away before I here this loud commanding voice that makes me want to subdue and obey.
"LIAM!" Scott screams and Liam just stops and gets off Mike and I run to Liam as Scott and Kira take Mike to the nurse.
"You okay?" He asks me and I smile
"Yeah I am fine" I blush
"Umm so tryouts will end here for today, team roster will be posted on the board outside of my office tomorrow" Coach Finstock says before walking away
"Hey um, why don't you come with me to get ice cream you still look a little angry" I say as we walk towards the parking lot.
"Sure, but are you sure you are okay? You got hit pretty hard." He says cocking his eyebrow
"Liam, I am fine." I say, at first I thought I might of broken something but I feel fine now. "Let's go" I smile and we walk the way to an ice cream shop.
We order and he pays, which bugs me. "Why did you pay? We aren't dating"
"Not yet" he says and winks at me and I just blush. We sit down and we begin to eat. "So where are you from?"
"New York City" I say and he looks stunned
"Wow! Huge change of scenery huh?" He says and I nod as I continue to eat. "Why did you move?"
"My parents agreed it will be best for me to grow up in a small town like they did, so did literally moved me to where they grew up, the famous Beacon Hills" I say and he giggles
"Yeah well don't worry it's a great place, very nice people...minus Mike" he says and I smile looking into his eyes which are just mesmerizing
"Yeah well, the people do seem really nice here" I say staring into his eyes.
"Yeah they are" he says as he slowly leans across the table and...
"WE ARE CLOSING, SO PLEASE GET OUT" the employee says and we just sit back and pack our things awkwardly.
"Hey I will walk you home" he says and I am in no position to deny, so I just nod and we begin to walk. "So how was your first week in Beacon Hills?"
"It was nice, I like the weather, the scenery, I mean how cool is the forest. Do you ever go in there?" I ask staring at the dark tree line
"Yeah, more times than I can count. Maybe one day I can show it to you, there is a waterfall in there and everything." He says and I look back at him
"We can totally go swimming, I love swimming but I hardly got to go in NYC, the big city never had room for swimming pools" I add and he just nods. I notice we already made it to my doorstep. "Thanks for walking me" I smile
"Anytime, just remember tomorrow we find out if we make travel team" he says smiling and I just look into his eyes and he does the same to me
"I can't wait" I say before we both lean in and our lips meet. They softly move in unison, it lasted for a minute or so, just constant soft movement. His lips were warm and tasted amazing. His cologne, took over my senses and I loved it. We pull our lips away but keep our foreheads leaning on each other as we both smile.
"I better get going" he says still smiling and I nod
"Okay, bye Liam" I say before slowly moving inside as he waits for the door to close.
Liam's POV
Wow, I can't believe I kissed her. I thought as I was walking home. Then I heard rustling in a bush.
Two men walked out and one of them was my new history teacher. There eyes were both glowing, surprisingly both yellow, their fangs and claws out and they were ready to fight.
I extended my claws and fangs, "what do you want?" I ask hoping not to fight.
"Give your alpha a message, prepare for war" and with that they both jumped on me. I fought them off but then they sliced my back roughly and I growled loudly before I fell to the floor where they left me.
"Liam are you okay?" I hear Scott as I look up he is running towards me. "I heard your growl" he says helping me up from the cold cement floor
"Scott, they want war."
"Who?"
"werewolves"
"Then we need to get ready to fight, I am not losing any friends this time" he says determinedly
