Amirah's POV
"May come on tell me where we are going!" We are sitting in her car driving to who knows where. We have past anywhere in town that I know where is. We have been in the car for about an hour and a half then we finally pull into Johnny G's.
"Are you happy now that I didn't tell you?" May knows Johnny G's is my favorite places on the planet after steak and shake, so for her to bring me here made me feel a million times better.
"Yes very happy!!!!!!"
"Now come on." We walk in and to my surprise the cheerleading squad my mom and her mom, along with the basketball/football team (the slash is bc the basketball team is made up on mostly guys who played football), and alot of our friends are inside with gift and balloons for me.
"Surprise happy birthday Amirah" I was to tears everyone I loved and cared about was right here in front of me to surprise me for my birthday. I look over at May and give her the biggest hug.
"I love you May. I can't believe you did this for me."
"Anything for my 3 day gap twin sister." We laugh at the fact that once again she points out that she's 3 days older than me. "And I love you too. Now come one let's get this party started."
I was walking around for a while and socialize, but then realized that there was a face I didn't recognize. So I walk up to the stranger. "Hey"
"Hey" his voice was deep. Deep enough for you the feel the ground shake, and he was tall really tall. At least 5'9". "So your the birthday girl huh?"
"Yep that's me." I was amazed in a trans even. He was perfect. "So what's your name?" My voice cracked a little.
"Mark. And you're Amirah Jackson. Captain of the Varsity cheer team."
"Yep that's me."
"Well happy birthday Amirah. Hope I see you around." As he walks away I can't help but aw over him. He was handsome. It was surprising that I didn't know who he was. There are very few people I don't know.
Mark's POV
I walked away from Amirah and toward the other guys on the football team.
"Sup Mark" Jay says with amusement in his voice.
"Sup. Man how did I not know?"
"Know what?"
"That it was Amirah's birthday."
"Man you've been gone for 3 years you probably just forgot."
Jay and I have been friends for a good bit of forever, but he's more like a brother to me than anything.
"I know but still. This is Amirah Montasia Jackson we are talking about." Jay shacks his head agree with my statement
I use to have a thing for Amirah before I moved to LA. Coming back wasn't my choice it was my mom's. If I had the choice I would've stayed there with my dad, but oh well what can you do.
"Well hey do you think she remembers you?"
"Considering the fact that she asked me my name I don't think so, but when I was here she didn't really know me."
"True true, but hey now you can sweep her off her feet."
"Yeah your right"
"Well I usually am" we laugh and time caught up with us and soon it was 11 o'clock. Good thing it's a Friday night.
May's POV
Amirah walks up to me with the biggest smile in her face, so I knew something was up. "What happened? Do I gotta beat a kid?"
