Chapter 24: The Feelings

[Haeri's POV]

I slowly opened my eyes and my head hurt. I can't really move right now. "You're awake."I turn my head and smile softly.

"Jongin." He smile while stroking my hair. "How are you?"

"Feeling good?" I said with my husky voice. He handed me a glass of water and I drank it.

Ahh, so refreshing.

"Where's he?" I asked Kai. Kai look at me in concerned. "He's in another room."

"Can I have one room with him?"

"Haeri..."

"Please." I pleaded. Kai sighed hardly. "I ask dad to transfer you in his room." I slowly nod and he left the room.

A few minutes, a nurse came and greeted me. "Ms.Song, I was told that you need to move to Mr.Zhang's room." I smile at her.

"Yes, please do." She nod and she help me sat on the wheelchair. "Careful Ms, your stitch is not fully close yet."

"Don't worry. I can handle it." The nurse was hesitate but then she let it be. She pushed the wheelchair and went to another room.

I went to his room. His room is much bigger than mine. But he's the only  patient there with two single bed.

I laid with the other empty space. He was still unconscious and only the beating machine on. "Is he going to be okay?" I asked the nurse. The nurse turn to look at me and smiled.

"Let's pray that he will be okay."

I smile softly and nodded. Then, she left the room. I look at the ceiling. I can't believe I would survive like this. I just saved his life. Even though that it will cause just 50% dead or alive.

Then someone came in. A tall handsome creature guy came.

He looked at me and smile. "Uhm, are you this guy friend?" I nodded.

"I'm Kris."

"Haeri."

"Ahh, so you're Haeri." he chuckled. I raise my eyebrows. He stop laughing and clear his throat. "Well, I'm sorry for the incident."

"What about?"

"I went to his place and it was close so I decided to detect his phone and end up he's here." he show me his phone.

Well, he's a hacker.

"How can you know me?" He chuckled. 

"Lay told me everything about you. Don't worry. I'm a detective too."

I just nod. But then I saw Lay's fingers moving slowly. Kris saw it too. He went out to find the doctor. Slowly, his eyes open. I sat down on the bed and look at him. The doctor came in and check up.

"Mr.Zhang?"

Lay look around.

"Where am I?" He asked with his husky voice. "You're in the hospital. Here." Kris said and gave him a glass of water. Lay drink it one go.

"How long I've been here?"

"Well, just a day. You're lucky that you woke up that fast." The doctor said to him. "Dad, please. I know you. Who's sending me here?" Lay said.

I widened my eyes. That doctor is Lay's father. "Two boys carrying you here with a guy and a girl." he said.

Lay look at him. Well, he can't see me cause this freaking blonde hair guy blocking my view. "The girl just gave you a new kidney." his dad sighed hardly.

"Where's she? Can I see her?"

Kris moved away.

"She's the girl." his dad said and smiled to me. I smile back. I look at Lay and he was shocked.

"H-Haeri?"

I wanted to stand up. So I put my legs down but then I nearly fall. Kris manage to catch me.

"Wow, hang on there missy." he put me in the wheelchair. I came to Lay's side. "Hey." I smiled to him. Lay look at me with a guilty eyes. "Can both of you leave us alone?" Lay said to them.

"What!? I just came here!!" Kris said but then Dr. Zhang dragged him out. Lay looked back to me.

"Haeri, I'm sorry."

"No, I'm sorry Yixing. I didn't know that Flora is your real mother." He smiled softly.

"So you knew."

"Suho told me." He sighed hardly.

"I'm sorry that I lied." I shook my head and held his hand. He looked at me.

"I'm sorry that I yelled at you."

He lifted my hand and kiss it.

"I lied to you everything but one thing I'm telling the truth to you."

"What is it?"

"My love for you is not a lie."

My eyes started to get teary.

"Lay, I-I-"

He lifted a bit his body and kissed my lips.

He kissed me softly and closed his eyes.

I slowly close my eyes and kiss him back. He broke the kiss and put his forehead with mine. He was crying too. I wipe his tears.

This make me warm.

"I'll protect you no matter what Haeri." he kissed my tip of nose.

"We protect each other from now on Lay." He chuckled and smiled.

"You saved me. I owe you. You let me live with your other kidney."

He open his shirt and the stitch was there. I smiled.

"I owe you too Lay. Especially your mother." He smiled softly.

"She's been a good mother. I'm just her bad son."

"Don't say that. I'm sure mother loves you a lot."

"I love her too."

I smiled and held his hand tightly.

This is also my feelings for him.
