"Ring," I heard the bell call out. "Ring, ringgg!!!" I sat up. As soon as my eyes cleared up, I saw Lexi holding chips and a DVD. "Dude, we have school today. And I am not in the mood" I said then stood up to get dressed. "Stupid child" she whisphered "We don't have classes today. Don't you remember? We are expecting a strong typhoon so I wanna just hang out instead of staring at the wall the whole day"
"Oh, that's cool. Okay, so I'll get ready and you go set that up over there!"
Lexi set the DVD up and the movie started playing. After and hour and a half we just hanged out in my room to talk about stuff. "So, what should we talk about?" She asked awkwardly. "I don't know."
Ugh, see. This is what happens when the bonding is unexpected. "Ok, so would we just shut up here and sit?" She asked. "We can always do that."
"Ok"
My phone rang. "Who is it?" Lexi asked. I looked down and saw the name Scott written across the screen. "Scott" I replied. Then she gave me an unsure look. "Would you answer that?" She asked. I hesitated to either nod or shake my head. By either way, I'll just answer this
"Hello?" I greeted
"Hi" He said. "Um, so I figured. You probabaly avoided me yesterday because of the thing I said to you."
I nodded. "No, no. I had a English—Biology project!" I reasoned. "I asked your group mates. They said no. You, you see, I thought about it. I, I really regret what I did. I might have just broken the friendship we have." He continued. "So, I'm sorry. I hope that, that we can at least stay friends"
I paused for a bit. A good 30 seconds never hurts. I thought. I didn't want him to feel rejected. I liked him. I, I loved him.
I feels such guilt. I was palpitating. I ain't gonna friend zone I guy I like. I, myself would feel pathetic.
"Um, ok" I said
Uh, ok. I'll, I gotta go!" He said
"Wait!" I said. But I was too late.
"He hung up on me!" I exclaimed
"Woah, chill lady! Um, so why did you say wait anyway?" She asked
"I was supposed" I said, "Supposed to. Supposed to tell him"
"Shit, no! Oh my gosh do you like Scott?!" Lexi exclaimed.
"Yeah!" I blushed. "Oh my gosh, I ship" she smirked
Ugh. I feel bad. I feel awkward. Gues this is it. The awkwardness would kill me.
