----My heart ponded in my chest... my breathing escalated, someone was in my room I could feel it. I was being watched.----

Hi, I'm Amanda Hope, I'm 15 and getting ready for my freshman year. I may not look it but I am actually a pop star. Some of my hits were "gone with the wind", "hold on tight", "running without stopping", and "pass you by" to tell you the truth you couldn't tell I was famous... I hid my true identity. I could tell my life was never normal, but I have a story you will never forget.. A true story, one about a day I came across a sociopathic serial killer, one I thought was only a legend, a myth. And his famous line was... "go to sleep".

I was sitting on my bed finishing my last homework assignment for my 8th grade year, today was Thursday and tomorrow was the last day of school. Our school, Tecumseh Jr. high generally held an end of the year party after school. I was one of the 'lowlifes' that attended because we had nothing better to do. I heard my mother screaming at my father again.

"Willum! Get your ass down here and clean this mess up now! And Amanda you run to the store and get some lattice!" she yelled. I hoped out of bed and put on my fuzzy boots, ran down stairs, blew past my dad and out into the cool afternoon air.

"stop running in the house!" my father yelled. Completely ignoring him I walked down the street to the supermarket. I grabbed a mocha from the gas station I passed and drank it on the way. As I was in my thoughts about my new concert coming up, I felt watched. I looked around and hearing the sound of a twig snapping. I jolted into hyper awareness. I had a knack for sensing danger and being able to see and speak to the dead, however that wasn't always a good thing. But this was a human, a person that was alive. "danger!" my senses screamed at me. I continued to walk forward, I took the maze of a way to what you call home to hopefully lose this stalker. I walked at a faster pace when I sensed 3 people coming from my left, right, and in front of me. Then the already fallower from behind. They all stood about 6 foot 4 inches. I stood 5, 7 well that was one advantage they had, another was they had me surrounded. I smirked as another twig snapped not from the boys but from a sudden lethal essence, it sent shivers down my spine. The presence hovered not leaving nor staying. The guys didn't hear nor see. I walked to the first boy. Knowing whatever it was, it was watching.

"come on kitten..." they purred. I slapped one in the face.

"oh come on don't be like that kitten." one sighed. I punched him in the face, and the next one closest I nailed him where it counts.

"why you insolent brat!" he hissed grabbing my ankle, yanking my to the ground. The others clobbered me. I called to my ghost guardian, I was very important to them so I had one for this very reason. One by one they few of me hitting walls or fences. I got up off the ground and ran. The dark presence fallowed me.

I stopped in front of my door. I was covered in mud, drenched in ally water, and my hair was a mess. I walked in and to the kitchen. Mother was there.

"What happened to you?!" she shrieked.

"I was jumped in the ally, the one I go through if I'm fallowed... yeah well I was cornered. I took all fore out thanks to the self-defense you guys put me in... I got away without and damage I know of." I muttered. " I'm going to take a shower." I added as I ran up the stairs. The dark presence stalked me threw out the house.

I got out of the shower... the sinking feeling of danger had never left. As I walked to my room the feeling got stronger. So at the last second I turned and went downstairs. My mother thankfully called for dinner. I was sure to face this person in my room but not now. I would hold it off as long as possible.
