"So you came back?" Danielle asks as the pair of us walk towards her house.
"Why of course, il mio amore. The Templars were chasing me and I knew that you would be here in Florence," I replied. The Templars chased me down and I was really hoping that Danielle was not married. "I'm sorry that I cannot speak too much of my plans. I have to go too, I need to meet up with someone. I'm sorry," I said, kissing her hand before slipping into the shadows once again.
Running from roof to roof my thoughts over take my mind. Danielle could join the Creed. But that means her life would be in danger. She doesn't need to go and do missions.... she could stay in Florence and help the assassins here I though as I misjudged a gap. I land on the ground unsteadily and quickly run from a group of guards.
I quickly dodge through the crowds and join a group of scholars. I bent my head low as the guards ran past me and the scholars. One of the guards pauses and examines the faces of the scholars... And me.
"Assassin!" He decides to shout. I swear as I stab him in the chest. The scholars jump back, surprised at the quick death. The guard crumbles to the ground, blood pooling around him. The rest of the guards turn around at the cry from him.
"Stop assassin! Stop right there!" One of them shouts.
What they say always cracks me up.
"Pfft, as if!" I almost laugh. I sprint towards a barrel and launch myself onto a roof. I heave myself up ungracefully as the guards group underneath me.
"Stop!" The same man shouts.
"You really need to learn more words, other than assassin and stop," I retort cheekily.
The guard turns red and has a little rage moment. I take that chance to escape on the roofs. I ran faster, even though no one was following. I had to speak to Danielle urgently.
I slowed down when I saw the familiar house. I swung by the window, which was unlocked. My hand gripped the window as I swung into the house, landing gently on the ground.
Danielle was sitting by the fire, reading a small leather book. She had a shocked expression printed across her face when she saw me.
"Ezio! Wh-Why are you here?" She stuttered, placing the book on the table in a swift movement.
I paused to catch my breath as a slumped down in a chair next to her.
"My love, you need to join the Creed."
