Derrick makes a sharp turn into the lot of the bar. I can already see our friends' cars lined up in the front row. I get out of the car and fix my hair quickly by running my fingers through it a couple times.

Derrick walks ahead of me, opening the door. He motions for me to walk in.

"My, my. What a gentleman." I say as girly as I can while batting my eyelashes. He rolls his eyes at me, but all I do is crack up at my own joke.

"C'mon asshole, go in before I push you in," He threatens.

"Is that a threat or promise?" I wink, continuing to laugh as I push past him. I see my friends sitting at the bar, waving us over.

"Hey, Niall's here! Now it's a party," Vince smiles.

"Had to drag him here by his ear," Derrick walks past me, taking a seat near Sara, who he kisses passionately. She grins through the kiss, and he pulls away.

"Nice to see you again, Niall," She greets me. I smile back, taking in her beauty. Derrick wraps his arms around her waist, telling me that she's his. I nod him off. He knows he has a real gem. If only I could settle down with a girl like her.

"Are you gonna stand there like a weirdo, or are you gonna sit and have a conversation with us?" Ian asks.

"I was quite enjoying standing here like a weirdo, actually."

"I knew it," Genesis speaks up. I turn to her, not noticing that she was even here. I knew the bar smelled extra slutty tonight.

"Well, look at you," I say, looking her up and down. Her pink dress is tight on her curves, the length of it only going to her upper thigh. Her hair is down, the strands curve to her face, making her look even more sexier than usual. Her green eyes see me staring at her, and that makes her smirk. I can think of many uses for that pretty little mouth.

"Haven't seen you around lately," I finally speak after a long tour of her body.

"I've been busy, I guess. But I'm glad I'm back with you--you guys," she quickly looks away and gestures toward the group.

Vince taps me on the shoulder, knocking me out of my trance. He hands me a beer and pats me on the back. Before he turns to leave, he whispers "good luck" in my ear. I shudder at his words.

Genesis stands and holds her hand out to me. "Can I talk to you for a second?" I don't know what to do, so I nod and take her hand. She drags me outside and I'm nervous for what she's about to say. She places her hands on her hips and glares at me.

"So you think you can use me, tell me you love me, and ignore me after that?" She asks with a harsh tone. I shrug.

"I'm not the girl you do that to, Niall."

"I know. I don't expect you to be," I tell her. She shakes her head and lets out a harsh laugh.

"I decided to stay away for awhile, to avoid seeing you; to avoid the humiliation. But now I'm back and I want answers. I still love you, so what the hell is the hold up?"

"I guess I just didn't want to be in a relationship with you at that time. I thought we could just sleep around and be done with it. Nothing personal, Gen," I ramble, already bored with the topic, "I'm sorry, okay? Can we just get back inside and enjoy the night?" I beg. I really don't want her dramatic bullshit right now. I'm wishing I hadn't come tonight already.

"Yeah, sure. Whatever," She mumbles and pushes past me.

"Gen, don't be like that!" I walk after her. She's already sitting back at the bar with her arms crossed. I let out a long sigh and make my way back.

I take a few swigs of beer, and focus on what the rest of them are talking about.

"I just don't understand why..." Derrick says. I tune him out before he finishes what he was saying. Probably some boring shit about politics. I look over at Genesis, and she's glaring at me. I'm surprised her eyes haven't burned a hole through my head yet. I quickly look away from her, regretting that decision. She stands and announces she'll be in the ladies room.

"Enjoy your time in there," I say. If looks could kill, I'd be on the floor by now. She huffs off and the rest of the group stares at me.

"What?" I ask, looking around. They're eyes are judging me, though they won't speak.

"You know what, I'll be over there," I point to a small table by the entrance. Derrick nods and I head off.

I curse under my breath as I walk toward the table. I knew this was a bad idea coming here. I sit and take small sips of my beer, thinking about Genesis. She wanted a better answer than she got. She probably wanted me to ask her to be my girlfriend or some shit. I shake her out of my mind.

I look back at the bar, watching the others laughing and having a deep conversation about something stupid probably. Genesis is back, but she's staring off into space. Probably thinking of ways to kill me.

I spot something in the corner of my eye. Not something, someone. I nonchalantly peer over at the person.
