The next morning I heaved myself off the couch and groaned loudly. I had major neck cramps from sleeping on the couch, and Sirius had unhelpfully slobbered all over my shirt. I rubbed my eyes, dragged myself into the kitchen and began to make eggs for breakfast. Sirius weaved himself in between my legs and barked noisily, and I chuckled happily and fed him a few pieces of egg once I fried them. The realization of the fact I didn't bother to look for the spare part for the tour bus yesterday then hit me. I stared, wide-eyed at my eggs and quickly finished eating them, running into the garage to scrabble through mountains of junk and try and find the spare part. Why was I so desperate to see them again? Because they are famous, and their signature would be worth some money if I sold it at the market. Smirking to myself I managed to pull out the part they needed for their bus.
'AHA!!' I cried noisily, accidentally falling backward on my bum. 'Ugh.' I groaned, getting up.
Sirius began to bark noisily, and even after I had walked inside, taken a shower, eaten breakfast and put on my shoes he was still barking. I called him.
'SIRIUS!' I bellowed.
He came running into the front hall, wagging his tail excitedly, but still barking. Odd. Sirius was usually quiet.
'Hush hush Si.' I said.
He was still barking all the way down the street as I made my way into town, planning on going grocery shopping and also installing the part that One Direction needed for their bus. Much to the displeasure of Mrs Jones, Sirius continued to bark, and I noticed she had actually left her usual spot by the front window. Come to think of it, the street was unnaturally quiet, aside from Sirius' barking.
'Shut up! I hissed at Sirius, clamping a hand over his muzzle and causing him to whine. Luckily, he kept quiet, and an eerie silence washed over the town. I frowned. There would usually be an early morning commotion, the rumble of the odd car, the humming of chatter, but instead it was silent. Suddenly, all I wanted to do was to get off the streets. Grabbing Sirius by the collar, I began to walk as quickly as I could toward the grocery store. After arriving, I stood outside the store, shocked. It was closed. The odd feeling of dread intensified. Mr Opaque was probably just out for a few minutes. Reassuring myself, I turned to the tour bus which wasn't to far away, and began to walk toward it. I checked to make sure I was still carrying the spare part, then awkwardly knocked on the bus door. A curly haired bloke answered, smiling politely.
'Hello, how can I help?' he asked.
'Uh, I think Paul might be expecting me. Maybe.' I shrugged.
'I'll get him.' the boy said, disappearing.
Sirius began barking again.
'Shut up!' I hissed.
Sirius continued to bark. I gently whacked him on the back of the head, causing him to bark louder. A blonde, familiar face jogged down that tour bus stairs.
'I know you.' I said.
'Not surprising, I'm Niall.' a thick Irish accent spoke and he offered his hand.
I shook, nodding my head in recognition.
'Lily-Anne. My friend is obsessed with you.' I said.
'Oh. Did you come here for her or something?' he asked, biting into the sandwich that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere.
'No. Where did that come from?' I asked, gesturing to his sandwich.
'Leprechaun Magic.' he laughed, and I found myself laughing along with him.
'Look, I'm here to see Paul. Is he here now? Some other guy went off to get him.' I muttered
'Colour hair?' Niall asked
