Chapter 19

I watched as the door slowly opened, Marcel on the other side. His eyes widened when he saw me, regret replacing it soon after. He walked over to my bed and sat down, staring at the floor. I didn't know what to do other than just lay there, watching him.

Neither of us said anything, it being silent other than my sobs.

"Why?" I croaked, desperately wanting the answer.

"It wasn't my fault. Harry told me it had to be done so I agreed," he quietly replied, still looking down.

"It wasn't you?" I screamed, sitting up quickly.

"No, he made me."

Marcel looked up at me, pain in his eyes. I soon felt sympathy for him, knowing what it all was for. My tears stopped coming, I desperately wanting to take them all back.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be," I smiled.

"I can't help it...I love you and I didn't want to hurt you at all, but I did," he shamefully said, looking back down.

"No, Harry did. You made it all better by coming here."

I walked down the hallway, Marcel by my side. I was more confident now with him. It seemed like he was too, but once we saw Harry he backed away.

"Marcel, it'll be okay," I said turning to him.

"No it won't. If he finds out I went to your house and told you, I'm good as d-dead," he said, looking down.

I bent down, looking up at him. "If he tries anything, you know I'll kick his ass," I laughed.

He huffed out a laugh and nodded. "I know you would."

"Well, c'mon than," I said, standing back up and stretching out my hand.

He took it and we continued down the hall. Harry stood at my locker, probably waiting on me. Once he saw me, his face lit up but that soon faded at the sight of Marcel.

When we reached him, he started to talk. "What the hell? I thought you two broke up..."

"Well, we worked things out. You know the reason, don't you?" I asked, a smirk playing at my lips.

"Reason for what"?

"Why we broke up, you know it right?" I egged it on. He showed a small sign of regret, but that soon was replaced by a smirk.

"So what if I do?" he smirked.

My face changed completely. Was he seriously doing this? I guess he still was that ass I met the first day.

"L-lets just go," Marcel spoke up.

"Yeah, do as he says. Not like I won't see you all day anyway, babe," he laughed.

I gave him the evil eye and grabbed my books, quickly heading off. I said goodbye to Marcel and went to class, dreading the fact I have to see Harry all day. Especially in this class, because we sit beside each other...

When I walked in, there he was. Our eyes met and he smirked. I slowly made my way over, desperately wanting to leave.

"Well, hello again," he played.

"Shut up," I shot back.

"Ooh, who's being a bitch this morning?" He laughed.

"It's only because of what you did! And, the fact that you just act like it's a game when you hurt your own brother!" I yelled, getting everyone's attention.

"Miss Cox, is there something wrong?" the teacher asked.

"No, sir," I huffed, turning away from Harry.

I saw him bend over, the smirk still there. "I did it because you don't need to be with him, you need a man," he whispered, a shiver going down my spine yet again. I saw him wink when he noticed me stiffen.

He's got me right where he wants me...
