I groaned, upon hearing the annoying tone of my phone ringing, along with its relentless vibrations. Quickly rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and checking the time on my alarm clock, just to see that it was barely 8 am, I picked up my phone. With my droopy eyes, I could barely make out the caller ID, but eventually, I figured out that it was Vic. Strange.

"Hello?" I started sloppily, clearing my throat and sitting up in bed. Why would Vic be calling me? - especially at this time, on a weekend. The other day he seemed more interested in other things, rather than getting to know his new pet.

"Hello, what?" Came a sharp voice from the other end of the line. At first, I was slightly confused, but soon a large smirk started to build on my face.

"Hello, Daddy."

"That's a good boy." His words, although unusual to others, were encouraging to me. "Now tell me why you left yesterday. I was hoping to at least see you this morning!"

"I didn't bring any spare clothes with me," I lied. Well, it was not exactly a lie, but it was not the main reason for why I did not stay. However, I could not just tell him that I felt neglected, because it would have seemed weird. We had only known each other for a few days and coming off as clingy already would have been a step in the wrong direction. He would think I am childish.

"You could have borrowed mine," he pointed out with a slightly impatient sigh at the end.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to be rude..." I trailed off. I sincerely hoped he did not mind and would not be mad at me. But, this already was not a perfect start.

"It's fine," he huffed, making me feel a bit disappointed in myself, with the scolding tone of his voice, but I could tell he was trying to be as nice as possible. I signed the contract barely three days ago and I had already messed things up. Great!

"Will you be able to come around today?" Vic asked, taking me by surprise. I was certain hat he would tell me not to come back.

"Yes!" I exclaimed instantly, relieved by the idea of it. But I had to remind myself not to come off as too excited, so I took a step back. "I mean, yeah, sure. That would be great. What time do you want me to come?"

"Well, that's up to you. All the other pets live here so, if you want to be treated just like them, you're going to have to be here early," I was informed sensibly. However, I could still sense that something in his voice was off. I brushed it off though; he was probably just as tired as I was.

"Is it alright if I come in about an hour?"

"Yep." And with that, the call ended.

I clumsily scurried out of bed, tripping over my own feet, before I reached my bathroom and had the quickest shower of my life. It was refreshing nonetheless, but it would take at least half an hour to walk to Vic's huge house. I was slightly offended that he did not ask if I wanted him to pick me up but, then again, I was not entirely sure if I was comfortable with him knowing where I lived. After all, we only properly met a couple of days ago.

The clothes I threw on were an old pair of skinny jeans and a modest, violet sweatshirt, as well as remembering to take a few spare sets of clothing in case Vic wanted me to stay the night. I got myself a quick apple to eat, and rushed out of the front door like my life depended on it. Obviously that was not the case, but it truly felt like it because this was possibly my only chance of having something exciting in my life, in comparison to my usually-dull existence.

I made my way through the rich neighbourhoods, until I reached the massive house which I had only seen once before. I was nervous, just like last time, but I built up the courage to knock on the front door. I had to wait a short while, before Vic opened up but, when he did, a bright smile adorned his face and it was very contagious.

He invited me inside, using a velvety tone in his voice and it sounded so welcoming. He was dressed casually, so I assumed that he was not working today. Ah, his job: that was something I wanted to ask him about, because I was extremely curious about it. I figured that today we could get to know each other better, as I did not want to dive into the deep end without having any information about him.

Vic asked me to drop my bag by the front door and informed me that his butler would collect it. He had a butler? How rich was this guy?

I was led through the many wide hallways, taking a familiar route, and I decided that that was the best time to speak up and find out more about him.

"So, what do you do for a living? You said you had a job," I stated confidently.

"Well," Vic stole a glance at me and scratched the back of his head as well as sheepishly biting his lip, "I'm a model."

"A model? Really? That's so cool!" Undoubtedly, Vic had the looks to be a model, but I would have never expected it from someone like him. "What kind of modelling do you do?"

"Magazine," he replied. It made sense, as the only thing he lacked in was height and that was a requirement for being a runway model.

"What magazine do you pose for?" I nonchalantly asked.

The man was hesitant with his answer, but slowly it left his lips, "Playgirl."

"What's that?" I wondered if I was asking too many questions, but I had every right to know whatever I wanted abotu him. If he wanted to basically live here, he would have to open up to me. Otherwise I would never have the courage to trust him and a relationship like the one I signed up for was based on trust.

"It's like the Playboy magazine, but for girls instead."

"Ooh," I was impressed. "Does that mean you pose nude?"

By the way Vic's walk unexpectedly slowed down to something barely above a halt, I knew that i stepped over the line. My curiosity always got me in trouble. Or maybe it was the fact that I was probably one of the unluckiest people on Earth.

Before I could force out an apology, Vic gave an answer to my unwanted query, "Sometimes."

I was embarrassed beyond belief. My big mouth just had to spill out something so ludicrous! It always did.

As we carried on walking, without saying a word, we turned in a different direction to where I went last time.

"When I asked Melanie, she told me that she didn't show you the playrooms yet, so I thought I'd do that mysel-"

"Hey, Viccy!" Came a highpitched female voice, cutting off the original speaker. I spun around to see a red-haired girl, who I recognised from yesterday. Her name was Danielle and, my god, the outfit she was wearing did not leave much to the imagination.

"Yes?" Vic turned towards her too, scanning her body up and down and seductively licking his lips. Excuse me? I felt a weight of jealousy being placed on my shoulders in an instant. Why did he not correct her, when she called him by that moronic nickname, instead of 'Daddy' or 'Master' or whatever the other pets called him? And what about interrupting him while he was talking?

"I'm so lonely!" The girl whined in an exaggerated voice, batting her eyelashes innocently. "Can we go into one of the playrooms and have some fun?"

"Of course," was Vic's quick reply. He seemed to be so mesmerised by her that he completely forgot about me, until I loudly cleared my throat. "Oh, Kellin! You remember the way to the girls' room, don't you? Can you wait there for me?"

I opened my mouth to respong but, before I could utter a word, the two were off, disappearing behind a sharp corner and leaving me alone in the long hallway. It took me a few seconds to realise what had occurred but, when I did, I could not help but be annoyed at Danielle.

What a great start to mine and Vic's relationship!
