I'm not heartbroken over Jon.. I'm really not. I don't know if it's hormones or what. I really loved Jon , I did.. But I guess I loved the idea of me being a mommy helped. When Jon knocked and handed me papers I felt nothing.
I loved the idea of starting a family with Nick. Nick is wonderful with kids and there's no doubt in my mind that Nick won't be an amazing father. I think he's more excited about the fact that he's gonna be a daddy than I am about the whole pregnancy.
"Are you excited to meet your child?" I asked Nick
"More than excited." He said
"Are you okay though?"
"Yeah why wouldn't be?" I asked
"Because you're a divorced woman now. And you're a mommy to be.. Yet you're perfectly happy for a woman who just got out of a marriage." Nick said
"Well not every newly divorced woman has a man like you. Not every newly divorced woman has a baby on the way with a man who's gonna be a tremendous father!" I smiled
"Although it's not official yet. I'm happy I have you. I'm happy I'm living with you in Arizona now and that you and I are expecting!"
"You're amazing. You know that?" Nick said
"Awe thank you baby" I smiled
"I love you"
"I love you too" he said pecking my lips.
"I'm sorry." I told Nick
"For what?" He asked
"For not believing you about Jon.. You were right. He didn't want marriage or kids.. Yet he married me anyways. I don't know why he did that , but he did... I'm sorry for not trusting you and believing to when you told me all that! I feel so stupid!" I said
"You're not stupid. You were in love." He said
"In love with the wrong man." I smiled
Nick scooted off the bed..
"Now I know your divorce isn't final, but I have to ask you!." Nick said as he got down on one knee.
"Nicole Tiffany Marks. My best friend. The mother of my child, will you marry me?!"
"Yes! Yes, I will marry you Nick!" I exclaimed
He slipped the beautiful diamond ring on my finger.
