It's ink. Thank God above! I know because it has sparkles in it and there is a red gel pen (with sparkles) sitting next to it. I know it's not my pen because I have never seen it before. The note read..."I guess I'm not the only one with secrets."
What the heck? I don't understand how these notes keep appearing randomly in my house. Honestly at this point I'm starting to think its Asia, but just in case I throw it in the box under my bed with the rest of my notes.
I fell asleep later on that night while reading "Perfect Chemistry" I awoke the next morning and was surprised with the fact that Asia was no longer all upset. Who knows it could have been her time of month. At least I don't have to listen to her whining and crying so it's good news to me. I continued to pour syrup on my pancake while Asia began talking to mom.
"So mom this weekend I'm invited to a party at Cody Morris's house on Friday and I'm allowed to bring a friend, so since Tiff is gonna be here can I-"
"WHAT?!" I practically screamed. "Since when is that skank coming down here?!"
"Courtney! Do not talk like that! She is Asia's close friend don't use those disgusting words about her."
"Well she is disgusting!"
"Courtney enough! What is wrong with you?"
"Me?! What's wrong with me?! Have you forgotten about the last time Tiff was here?! Do you not remember the outcome?"
"Courtney we all decided a long time ago to forgive and forget."
"Apparently "all" doesn't include me!"
"Either way she is coming and that's that."
"So why does Asia get to have someone come and visit? How come I can't have anymore contact with my friends?"
"You have to have friends to have contact with them." Asia said.
"Girls stop it right now! I don't want to hear another word about this."
"Mom I didn't get to finish my question though because little miss sunshine over here cut me off." Asia smirked.
"Go ahead then Asia."
"Anyway so can I take her to the party?"
"You know my rules about them Asia. Any alcohol?"
"Not a drop."
"Drugs?"
"Not a joint."
"Boys?"
"Only the good ones."
"Will there be parents there?"
"Mom come on we are seniors in high school we don't need a parent looking over our shoulder while we play games."
"That's the problem. Those games you all play are not for your age. I'm not stupid Asia. I know what goes on at unsupervised parties."
"So you have been to one?"
"Well yes but we weren't as wild and well "hormonal" as all of you teens are now."
"Mother we aren't hormonal! Come on please. Are you gonna hold my hand when I walk to my first day of college?"
"Ugh fine! But don't get yourself into any trouble understand?"
"Absolutely mom."
By now I realized that all the syrup I was pouring had been in a pile of the table and so I went to go clean it up. Asia had left the room by now. And I was about ready to leave too.
After I cleaned up the table I went into my room. Like I had said before the walls are thin so you hear everything. Asia was on the phone with a friend, who I assume was Tiff.
"We are good for Friday night! Mom thinks it's all age appropriate!"
Too bad Asia is stupid and put her phone on speaker because her little next door neighbor hears it all!
"Go Asia. This party is gonna be lit."
"I know right! Just keep it cool when you get here tomorrow afternoon. Don't act like anything is going on."
"Do I ever fail a plan?"
"You got my sister in trouble for that cigarette."
What happened to forgive and forget Asia...
"Sorry about that."
I was done listening by now because they were talking about the latest fashion crap and stuff. Now normally a younger sister would go tattle on an older sister, but I have a feeling I don't need to work my magic for Asia to get in trouble for this one.
Later that night I was sitting in bed reading when my phone rang. I picked it up.
*heavy breathing*
"Plea- pleas- call my-"
Then the line disconnected.
