We approach the gates, Ohaan jogging close behind to ensure we arnt being followed. I push past the rusty metal gates, causing a dull creak. A large man with an iron mask runs around the corner to investigate the sound. We hide behind some rubble untill he starts to walk away, then on my siganl, Ohaan throws his spear, piercing the man's thick neck. I run out to drag him into better light, tossing Ohaan his spear. The warrior is wearing thick chainmail with a heavy bronze chestplate, bronze gauntlets, anf fur boots. Over the chestplate the man has a thick jersey with a green falcon emblem. The warrior has a bronze helmet with an iron facemask, with eagle cut eyeholes and a beak forged into the design. "I know a lot about the clans of Nyvek, but I don't know this one." I stand. "We must get to my house, I need to get something and speak to my mother." I explain. Ohaan nods and crouched, stalking through the shadows of the streets. I follow him, ignoring the sharp pain in my left side where the wound is.

After an hour of shadow-walking across the village we arrive outside of my hut. Nearby I heard the cheering of the clan who invaded. I assumed they had a camp nearby in the market. I looked at the door blankly for a while before speaking. "Ohaan, wait out here." He nods in understanding and I push the wooden door open slightly. Instantly a blade is at my throat. I look and see my mother's deadly blue eyes. "Mum, its me, Aouk." I state. She pulls down her hood and waves me inside. "You are alive! I have made my decision on your vision." She explains, sitting in her old chair by the small fire. I sit facing her. "My son, you will travel to the lands of Mydet. You will take a boat and your things and find this girl Mecka." I just shake my head. "I will not leave my village and my people, I must stay." Now it is my mother's turn to shake her head in frustration. "You are a caring young man Aouk, but this is your duty." I nod in understanding and approval. "Then you will come with me, and we shall leave at sunrise." She shrugs, too exhausted to argue. I quickly run to the door, opening it and explaining to Ohaan the plan. "My cousin, go to the docks and get us a ship. "When will you be there?" He asks, gathering his things. "Sunrise, have the ship ready to go as soon as we step on." I state, closing the door as he sets off through the shadows. I turn and run to my room, pulling a chest from under my bed. I open the chest, revealing weapons, money, books, and that dusty bundle. I grab a small pouch from behind me and fill it with many silver coins. After counting out 2000 I close the bag and attach it tightly to my carrying bag. I unroll the dusty bundle from my father and smile. Inside the leather sheet sit an iron battle-axe, 2 iron hatchets, a map, a pouch, and a box as long as my arm and wide as my head. I threw the stuff into the bag along with some boots and spare clothes for the voyage. I grabbed the bag and box and walked over to my mother, asleep on the chair. Knowing she would disagree with me I grab her by the waist and lift her over my shoulder, carrying her out the front door and into the still, dark village.
