The McKinley high new directions stepped into the dressing room with their hearts in their throats. Sam and Blaine were exchanging worried looks. Tina was hyperventilating. Artie was gripping tightly around Sugars waist. Marley was throwing up in the bathroom while Jake held her hair back. Joe was praying. Wade was fixing her makeup and Kitty was filing her nails.

"What is up with everybody?" Mr Shue asked loudly.

"This is the first nationals that we haven't had Rachel" Blaine choked.

"So?" Finn shrieked as he appeared by Shue's side.

"So, we have no chance at winning" Tina sobbed.

"Guy's you will do the best you can and make me proud" Shue soothed.

"Blaine get ready you're up first" Finn snapped pushing Blaine over to his mirror. Sam followed and sat next to Blaine. Sam stared at Blaine's lips.

"Are you nervous?" Blaine asked looking over at Sam while he waxed his hair. Sam stood up and began combing Blaine's hair back.

"This is my third Nationals I'm a little nervous about not having Rachel anymore but other than that no" Sam replied. Sam ran his finger down Blaine's cheek.

"Sam what're you doing?" Blaine enquired. Sam snapped back into reality.

"Just checking I didn't lose any of the wax" Sam coughed. Blaine nodded with a smirk on his face. The lights flashed. Blaine jumped up from his seat.

"Blaine" Shue shouted. Blaine ran over to Shue.

"I'm ready coach" Blaine joked.

"Give us a home run" Finn laughed.

"Now from Lima, Ohio and the defending national champions. McKinley high new directions" the competition director announced in his game show voice. Blaine walked out slowly. The band started playing. Blaine walked into the centre of the stage.

"I remember years ago

Someone told me I should take

Caution when it comes to love

I did

And you were strong and I was not

My illusion, my mistake

I was careless, I forgot

I did

And now when all is done

There is nothing to say

You have gone and so effortlessly

You have won

You can go ahead tell them

Tell them all I know now

Shout it from the roof tops

Write it on the sky line

All we had is gone now

Tell them I was happy

And my heart is broken

All my scars are open

Tell them what I hoped would be

Impossible, impossible

Impossible, impossible" Blaine sang, the girls started entering from the side an lined up on the back row of the stage.
