Inazuma awoke to the sounds of explosions. Confused, he flew down from his nest, and found a horrific discovery. The land was ablaze. Disaster had struck everything. Inazuma stared at the nether-like world. "Infernos! Argestes! Shea! Mazu?! Terra?! Anyone?! Please respond!!"
From the ashes, rose two scaly wings.
"Inazuma! Here!" Said the scarlet dragon.
"Infernos! Good friend! What has happened? Why is the land like this?" Said the thunderbird.
"I know not. However, I do have a hunch. I would say 'tis Cthulhu to blame!" Responded Infernos.
"No... He didn't! We must find the others!" Inazuma said.
"I shall find the others. You go find Cthulhu." Infernos flapped his wings, and flew off into the sky.
"His search is in vain. They are probably buried under the ashes." A dark voice said.
Inazuma turned to see the cause of this catastrophe. "Cthulhu! What have you done?" He yelled.
The giant creature sneered. "My, my I have not seen the mighty thunderbird angry before. This is an honor."
"Look around you! Your creation is responsible for humanity's near extinction!"
"You will never learn, will you?" Cthulhu said. "Humans, they are just creatures with vanity. We are far superior to them, just mere insects under our feet. Yet you, and your lot of companions care for them. We are gods!! Yet, they have the nerve to call us animals."
"I know that the humans have many flaws." Inazuma said. "However, this is not the solution!"
"All humans must perish!" Cthulhu responded. "And if you do not agree, you shall perish with them too!!"
He dashed forward and grabbed Inazuma from the throat. As fast lightning, the thunderbird attacked with his talons. Cthulhu fell back, covering his right eye. Black blood oozed out from his eye.
"HOW DARE YOU?!?"
From his hands, a burst of darkness erupted. Inazuma summoned lightning, and struck the darkness. Cthulhu sprang, and slashed at the thunderbird's unprotected chest. Inazuma fell back, blue blood dripping into his feathers, and seeping into the ground. Cthulhu stood over him. Then, he stomped on the thunderbird's chest injury. Inazuma stifled a shriek of pain.
"Your reckless and stubborn attitude has lead to your downfall. Any last words, mighty thunderbird?"
Inazuma coughed up blood. Then he spoke.
"You may kill me and the others. But seven shall rise, and they will defeat your creations."
"Stop speaking nonsense! And even if this were true, Argon will destroy these seven you speak of." Cthulhu sneered.
"We shall see. This...fight...is...far...from...over." Inazuma closed his eyes and drifted into nothingness.
