Curious as to what was going on, I grabbed my bag and flustered, I left the drama room...
As I rushed through the halls and up the stairs thoughts were flooding into my mind of what could have possibly gone wrong.
I don't think I did anything bad, I don't think I'm in trouble, May be its Floyd that's in trouble...
Ah yes that must be it.
Once I reach princible Anderson's door I hesitate before knocking three small knocks.
"Come in"
"You asked for me sir? " I said nervously
"Ah yes fern, I'm afraid you must go home immediately, a taxi is waiting for you downstairs. "
"But what for?" I ask confused
"Theres no time to explain now " he replied hurriedly "just go home and go as quickly as you can"
His tone of voice was grave so I knew somthing bad had happend.
I left with a mere "thankyou sir" and ran out of the building to where the taxi was waiting.
I hoped in, "to roseparks lane right miss? " asled the taxi driver, "yes" I confirmed, "and as quick as possible please"
And off we went.
He stopped outside my house and I hoped out (apparently princible Anderson had prepayed) I ran up to the front door and rummaged around in my bag for my keys.
Once I found them I unlocked the door to be greeted by Maria with tears streamin down her face...
"Fern! Thank god your home. It's dad. He's had another heart attack and it's the worst one yet... " she stammered through her tears...
I didn't reply. I didn't have to. I just dropped my bag and ran upstairs.
I slowed down just before I got to his bedroom. As I entered I took in the scene before me.
There was Gary lying on his bed looking very pale with his eyes closed. He was connected to several drips and a heart monitor which was beepimg very slowly.
He was surrounded by nurses and a doctor clustering around him checking his pulse and temperature etc. There was mama oh my mama kneeled down on the floor by his bed weeping and praying.
Oh...
That was when I screamed, I yelled, I yelled at the doctor, "why aren't you helping him!! Why don't you take him to hospital!?!?! Why isn't he getting better?!?!"
I felt Floyd's strong arms around me carry me out of the room and down the hall to my bed.
He brushed away my tears and held me tight.
"Don't worry beautiful, everything is going to be ok"
A/n so I know my chapters are short so sorry about that... but the picture above is there house I wanted to show it to you so you could have a clue as to what their living situation was like, keep in mind that they live in London where you have to be quite wealthy to own a house like that...
