Lacy's POV

The next morning we watched and waved as Sarah and Tod drove off to Florida to start their honeymoon. I felt mark tap me on the shoulder.

"Come with me, let's go for a walk he said" I smiled and nodded, a walk would be nice after what happened last night. Whe walked in the back trail of my neighborhood so it was very woodsy and nice

"I used to spend a lot of time back here as a kid" I sated was we walked, I looked around at how pretty it all still was. Mark glanced at me raising and eye brow.

"Really? That makes it so much nicer" he slipped his hand into mine as we walked when he suddenly paused and turned to face me. "Lacy, the past few days have been nothing but a crazy, messy, bag of 'What the Fuck?' And that's the last thing I wanted" I smiled and looked down at out hands. "Lacy I knew when we first met that you were gonna be a big part in my life, at the time I didn't know what for but...know I do" I felt the butterflies in my stomach kick up and flutter at rapid speed. What's he about to do what I think he was about to Do?

Mark's POV

My hands were trembling and my heart was pounding, I went to my back pocket and got a small blue box out. "I was gonna wait till after we moved to L.A. but I-" before I could finished there was the sound of foot step out the right.

"Lacy? Is that you? Holy shit!!" It was a man about my age maybe younger with long brown hair, he was talk, slender but musclar. "Whose your friend? I'm Dylan" He said walking forward and put out a hand for me to shake. I shook it powerfully, and nodded.

"The names Mark, im her boyfriend" Dylan's glare went dark but he just nodded and looked over at Lacy.

"You sure are quite Lacy....what's gotten into you?" He was right Lacy was frozen and her breathing went harsh. Dylan just chuckled "well anyway I best be going off home I'll see you guys around. And he ran off back into the woods. When he was gone Lacy took my hand and squeeze it.

"We need to go home, now...." I looked down at her concerned.

"How come babe" she looked at me concerned.

"That guy, is my Ex and he's been to Jail numerous times for public disputes that to him was life of death..." I shrugged

"So as long as we don't piss him off were fine.." she shook her head.

"Mark you don't understand, the guys he's attacked were all my boyfriends..." I felt my face flush, shit what are we gonna do.

Lacy's POV
*warning, this section will contain the topic of abuse in Lacy's back story*

I think out of all the guys I dated Dylan was the worst he was the reason I had trust, love, and body issues. We was abusive, Mentally and physically....I had to do something. When I broke up with him over the phone I was at friends house, he was letting me stay there so if Dylan went to my house acting bat shit crazy my parents should call the cops they...when they did they took me in for an evidence.

"What exactly did he do?"
The cop looked me up and down
With sorry eyes. "H-he hit me if I said
Something I didn't like or when I told him I would sleep with him, he'd say
I was nothing but a worthless excuse for a girl and that I belonged on the streets and that no one would love me except for him." The cop nodded and quoted everything. "Thank you miss"

The friend I ended up staying with the night Dylan got arrested ending up being a boyfriend about 2 years later. One day when we were having a nice BBQ dinner Dylan came running attacking him bad enough to almost kill him. "She's mine you fucker" he said devilishly to him. I immediately called the cops and once again he was arrested. After that I thought I would never see him again but they let him out and he always attacked me, seeing him today with mark made me fear the worse, Mark was my boyfriend and Dylan now knew that....I had to leave Georgia now, before mark got hurt.
