Taken?

       " Babe , "  a voice whispered in my ear .
     " Babe! " the voice was louder , I opened my eyes and Dominic was shirtless , boxers hanging off his hips .
I was still wrapped In a blanket , I got up and went to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror , Dominic came in after me.

     " I thought people were supposed to glow after sex, not look like literal shit " I brushed my hair and wiped my face off with a baby wipe .

     " You look beautiful , " Dom played with my tangled waves.    " I have a question ."   he wrapped his arms around me and rest his head on my shoulder .

      " Okay , ask away " I unwrapped his arms and slipped on my old gymnastics sweater . I couldn't find my shorts but underwear will do.

     " Are you , um or , were you a virgin ? "   He looked down , kind of scared .

    " Yeah I was , but it doesn't change anything "  I made him look in my eyes.

    " You don't regret it , do you? " he stared at me in eyes.

    " Of course I don't regret it , don't say that " I kissed him and he kissed back. I guess we both came to terms that we felt something for each other .

     " I feel like since we skipped school , again , we should go somewhere "  Dom   grabbed a comb and brushed out his flattened quiff.

   " I mean , I need new clothes , is the mall an option ? " I asked , it's great that were not awkward about our situation .

     " Yeah , got to use moms money someway "  he grabbed a stack of cash out from under the sink , handing me a fist full of cash . I love white people.

     " Great , I'll be buying the entire mall today " I put the money in my shirt and walked into my room. Changed into a pair of high waisted jeans and a black velvet crop top , fixed with my usual black Toms.

    " Where's my makeup bag ? " I thought I left it on my bed but it wasn't there.

    " Oh yeah , I put it on the kitchen counter since you left It on the couch last night " Dominic handed it to me and winked.

    " Great thanks, also shut up " I laughed and pulled out my liquid eyeliner and mascara. Fixed my cat eye , long lashes and bronzed face.

   " Can we leave now ? " Dominic poked his head through the door , fully dressed and ready to go . I put my makeup bag away and pushed Dominic out of my room and down the stairs. We got into the car and drove down the bumpy pavement.

       "I haven't been here in a long time" Dominic pulled in a spot , parking and locking the doors behind us as we left the car.

    " I come here too often " I said as I opened the doors and Dominic followed.

    " Let's go to Journeys , I need new shoes "  He said and we walked up the escalators.

    We walked in the store and light rock music played , some hipster with an Afro , worked the front counter. I grabbed a pair of converse and tried them on , haven't worn a pair of these in a long time.

     " Here , I'll take these " I walked up to the counter and pulled out a hundred, fifty going towards the shoes.

    I grabbed the bag and stepped outside the shop , waiting for Dom to finish his spending spree.
       I saw a group of boys about twenty feet ahead of me , all staring directly at me . One of them walked over to me and I pretended not to notice.

   " Hey , could I get your number ?" He pulled out his phone and handed it to me , I nodded and put my number in .

    " You better call me since I was nice and gave my number to you " I laughed and he smiled , sitting next to me while his friends still stared.

    " Don't worry , I wouldn't ignore you for the world "  he smiled again , I laughed again and Dominic walked out.

    " Back off bucko , she's taken " Dom looked down at the boy who looked at me , I just laughed.

    " Sorry bro , I had no idea" the boy looked apologetic at me and walked back towards his friends .

    " So im taken , yet I don't feel taken " I looked at Dominic and crossed my arms.

     " Well you are , so "   He smiled and Walked away , I followed , catching up to his side. Well I guess that's the best answer I'll get .
