I'm happy

   My birthday past a few weeks ago , since then I've moved in with Dominic in our own place. We've been fixing what we are and we found a spot where we fit good together . Carol found out but she didn't care, she said she suspected it from the beginning , this confused the hell out of me but I was happy that she accepted it . Even Ben accepted it as soon as Carol did. It seemed to all actually work now . Dominic will be in college a few months from now I'll be a senior , we're both working to help pay for bills  and Dominic works at the office with his father,but in all honesty , Carol and Ben have been paying for everything to help us . It means a lot to have them in my life . I see my brother a lot more , he comes over for visits. I even talk to my father more , meeting up every once in awhile when he's in town. See you again when I have time to write!

    I finished writing in my journal and put it under the mattress that Dominic and I shared .

   " I feel like I'm older than I am , sharing an apartment and paying for bills , I thought I'd have another four years for this " I laid down and Dom laid next to me , drawing shapes on my arms.

   " Honestly , but it feels nice , you know ? " Dominic kissed me and I smiled up at him , it does feel nice .

   " Let's go somewhere tonight , I'll take work off at the office "  Dom sat up and picked up my camera , the plus side about working at a photography store , discount on amazing cameras.

   " Sounds good , we don't do that much " I stood up and went to the closet , changing out of yoga shorts and into leggings and a floral hippie shirt.

   " I said later but I want to leave now , it's already six " Dom put on jeans and nikes. He'll always dress like a white boy.
  
     " Okay well I'm ready , let's go "  I grabbed the keys and threw them at Doms arms, walking out the door.

   We drove for a long ass time, down a road that seemed to lead to nowhere . Dom parked the car and at a lake house thing .

  " A lake house ? " I asked , looking at my non suitable clothing .

   " Well yeah but it's a restaurant , I used to go here as a kid " he opened the door for me and I saw what he meant , it looked a like an old fashioned diner from the movies . The same singing filet fish above the door, pale wall paper and a counter with stools to fit it.

   We sat down at a booth by the windows and a short legged waitress greeted us .

   " Welcome to Lake house buccaneers , daily special is pea soup and curly sweet potato fries , " She looked at Dominic . 
     " Dominic , it's been a while , want the usual ?" she grabbed her pen and Dominic nodded , she scribbled and looked at me .

   " Pretty lady , what can I get you ? " she winked at me and had her pen ready again .

   " I'll take two orders of curly fries and a sweet tea" I ordered and she scribbled down , I preferred side dishes instead of real food.

   " I'm assuming you brought me here for a reason , what's up ? " I asked , curious .

     " Be patient babe , you'll find out " Dom kicked my leg and grabbed my hand .

    The waitress dropped off the food and I didn't even wait two seconds before I devoured it .

   " When I was a kid , my dad used to take me here for special occasions , especially on my birthdays. I loved it here " Dom smiled , looking around . I smiled at the thought of a little Dom coming here .

  " Well this is something I wanted to share with you because now I have a special occasion to share with you "  Dom got down on the floor.

  " Oh Im wearing wedges , you don't have to tie my ... Ohhhh " I felt stupid , Dom laughed and pulled a box out of his jacket pocket , he opened it up and a white diamond glistened.

   " Calysta Anne Renae , will you be a part of my crazy life so it can be our crazy life , will you marry me ? " Dom grabbed my hand and I screamed , dropping to the floor and kissing him. The few people In the restaurant cheered.

     " We may have only known each other for a few months and it seems too soon but the way I feel right now , it makes me want this more than ever and I hope you feel the same way " Dom paid the bill and I stood up , kissing him again .

   " Of course I feel the same way you doofus " I laughed and we asked the waitress to take a photo of us before we left on back down that endless road.
