The Choice (Hotch/Reid/Morgan)

Chapter 9: The Big Question

Morgan arrives in the office, tired and just not in the mood for anything involving messing around. "Hey Morgan, the team is thinking about going out tonight, you in?" Prentiss asks him as he sits at his desk.

"Not tonight Prentiss." Morgan replies. "Not in the going out mood." He explains.

"Oh...okay." Prentiss replies and just goes back to her work. Garcia is walking out of her office and heading for JJ'S when something or rather someone catches her eye outside the window. The moment she sees this person she immediatelly rushes down to the ballpin and taps Prentiss on the shoulder. "What?" Prentiss asks and allows her to whisper in her ear. "Oh my god." Slips right out of her lips.

"Text JJ." Garcia whispers and rushes off to get Hotch and Rossi, quickly. Prentiss texts her lover and JJ is immediatelly rushing over to Prentiss.

"For real?" She whispers, trying not to let Morgan hear.

"For real." Prentiss answers. They both look and see the other three walking down casually. They also don't want to let Morgan see what is really going on, not yet at least. Morgan does look at how everyone is being all clustered and whisper like.

"What's going on?" He asks, curious of why they are being like this.

"Nothing, but uh Morgan could you take this this one?" Prentiss replies and points to the person walking into the office.

"Sure." Morgan responds and turns to face the person walking in and his jaw drops as soon as he realizes who it is. "Reid..." Reid looks up and smiles his famous awkward smile.

"Hey." He replies. Morgan looks him over, seeing he has gotten a haircut, how much healthier he looks, and how he just looks so much better than he use too.

"Reid, what are you doing here?" Morgan asks, totally surprised by this.

"I...I guess I figured out where I belong." Reid replies and looks at the team, who the girls, mostly Garcia, are eager to just jump at Reid and hug him. "With my team." He finishes. That's when Garcia just runs up to him and embraces the young man.

"Our baby boy is home!" She calls out, being joined by Prentiss and JJ. Rossi comes walking up and cups Reids face in his hands and greeted him with the Italin kiss on the cheeks.

"Welcome home!" He greets.

"Thanks." Reid replies and smiles. Hotch is at the other end of the office, smiling at Reid. Reid smiles back and waves at Hotch, Hotch nods back. Morgan is just to happy, that he is back, to think of anything else. Reid looks at Morgan. "There's more." He explains. "My mother, she uh.." he clears his throat. "The first day I got there, I went..I went to see her and when I told her why I was there, she told me that I wasn't running from my problems, I was running from myself." He explains. "I..I didn't understand it at first, but now I figured itbout. I was running away from what I wanted because I was afraid too get hurt...or hurt anyone else." He explains.

"What does that mean?" Morgan asks confused.

"It means I want to be your boyfriend again..if..if you'll have me back." Reid replies and looks at Morgan. Morgan looks at Reid as if it was a dream.

"It have been waiting for those words for six months now." Morgan states as he gently grabs Reid by the hips and pull him close.

"It love you Morgan." Reid states. Morgan, again looks to Reid shocked.

"And I love you, Reid." Morgan replies and kisses Reid.

Everyone claps and cheers. "Finally!!!!!" Garcia calls out in joy.

Two months pass after the reconnection. Everything seems to be like it use to be before the Charlie case. Morgan walks into the office and sees Reid already at his desk. He walks over to him and kisses him on the lips, surprising the younger man. "Good morning." He greets.

"Morning." Reid responds back with a smile. "So I was thinking, tonight for dinner we could try that new restaurant."

"Sounds great to me." Morgan replies back.

"Hey, by the way. Why are you so late?" Reid asks.

"I was at the store." Morgan answers. "I needed to pick up something." He adds. "Everyone! I need all of you to witness this!" He shouts loud enough so that the whole team came into the ballpin. He then gets down on one knee and holds out a small box.

"Morgan what are you doing?" Reid asks, looking around at everyone surprised.

"Spencer Reid." Morgan starts up. Prentiss and JJ hold hands and wait to hear the question they all are waiting for. Garcia starts to figit, knowing the question and not wanting to wait any longer. Hotch and Rossi watch and keep there usual business look on their faces, basically their poker face. Rossi and Hotch do know what is going to happen but if they dont keep a poker face they will give the surprise away. "Will you, do me the honor of becoming my husband?" He asks. Reid looks to Morgan, so shocked.
