The instructor calls attendance them begins the lesson
"Today we will teach you something you will use in the 'real world' *chuckle* and on your duties. You will be in groups of three.
Me and dave immediately walk towards each other" so wheres number three?"i ask dave, dave just shrugs
"Ummm..."i hear a voice from behind and we turn around to see a small girl staring at the ground
"Are you trying to confess to one of us"dave cruelly asks with a smirk
"What! No i was going to ask to be in your group!"she yells then immediately covers her mouth. " im sorry..." She mutters. I Punch dave
"Yeah you can be in our group. Whats your name?"i say as dave rubs his arm
"Tokonome, tokonome hotaru" she says
"Cool nice to meet you hotaru, im jack and the douche is dave. I know they're stereotypical name get used to it the author does it to piss people off"
N/A yes i break the forth wall deal with it
"Author? Anyways lets start"hotaru says
"Yeah lets go to the field now"i say we exit to the court yard
" spirit arts have different uses some for defense others used for offense. Spirit arts also have incantation that can be skipped at the cost of power in exchange for speed. Today I will teach you spirit number 12 Akai honō no ha which covers your SBW in a red flame. The incantation is as such, the crimson flame of hell, cover the soul of the bounded spirit art number 12 Akai honō no ha."
A red flame erupts and covers the practice sword he was holding
"Alright, now i want you to use it in a three way spar to simulate multiple opponents"the instructor says
"Alright lets get started" i say then move to a more clear spot
We all say the spirit art then start the spar i only had twilight out because i dint want to draw attention during class i practice with the two on my own
Dave lounges at me, i parry him to the right then try to jab his waist but he twists out of the way only leaving a graze. Hotaru then comes from behind i hear her foot steps then burst up and come slashing down i end up hitting her SBW (which is a double sided axe ) off her hands. I then realize how much faster and stronger the spirit art makes you not to much but enough to be noticeable. Realizing her defeat hotaru then burst away leaving me and dave, dave then comes at me with the hilt and hits my arm trying to knock out my own weapon like i did to hotaru, but i keep my grip and then bring the hilt and drive it in to his stomach winding him then swing at his neck with the blunt side of my sword stoping an inch before his neck. He raises his hands in defeat
"Dam when did you become good at something for once?" Dave says still a bit winded
"For once'? I am good at a ton of stuff"i say back
"Oh yeah hot shot name one"dave says " this" i say back " fair point"dave says
"Man i was out first" hotaru says while rubbing her hands
"Hey of you were a bit quieter then you could of gotten my head off, although a war axe isn't really stealth like"i say
She just shrugs" anyways class is done I'm gonna go home now later"she says while waving "later " me and dave say in unison "well i better get going to bye" dave says "bye"i reply as i head off back to my room with an urge to learn more spirit arts on my own
