"Go see for yourself."
Jimin pushed the door to the locker room open, the stench of sweat and sex pouring over him, and somehow he knew exactly what he was going to find inside of the room.
"You weren't supposed to find us." Yoongi said. By now, he was sitting next to a sweaty Taehyung on the floor, grinning up at Jimin.
Jimin could feel the anger slowly boiling up inside of him. He turned towards Taehyung, who was smiling as well.
"Don't expect an apology from me." Taehyung scoffed when Jimin turned to glare at him.
"I can't believe you two."
"Neither can I."
Jimin scoffed, turning towards Yoongi. "And the night before our wedding? Real classy."
"Just wanted the effect to be stronger."
Jimin felt as if the whole conversation was just a dream. No, this can't be happening. Yoongi loves me, he said so. We're going to get married tomorrow. It's all alright.
He continued staring down at Yoongi and Taehyung, not focused at all. He could feel his body start to sway slightly, as the heavy feeling of being dazed & confused washed over him.
"Is the effect finally setting in?" Taehyung asked, grinning.
His vision began to swim, the pattern of the tiles and their smiling faces all swirling around.
He was in pain.
Jimin nodded, turning to run out of the locker room and away from that place. He couldn't stand it. The stench, the smiles plastered on their faces, the pain of it all.
Right before your wedding.
Jimin found himself throwing open the doors of the hotel, running out into the paved parking lot, his vision swimming. Why would Yoongi do this? Was it something Jimin had done? Had he just lost all feelings of love & affection for him?
Why had this happened?
It was still very early in the morning, the darkness of the night enveloping Jimin in a painful embrace. His feet continued on pounding against the pavement as they took him farther from the hotel.
He turned a corner, and found a group of large pine trees standing in front of him, an entrance to a forest. He stopped running, looking up at the trees, and the stars that laid just beyond the pine needles.
Then Jimin doubled over and began to puke.
As he felt the bile rising in his throat, he also felt tears rolling down his cheeks as he emptied the contents of his stomach out onto the ground.
He collapsed on his knees, now just heaving, as if he was trying to throw up the pain of heartbreak that had settled in his stomach.
Jimin continued on crying, knowing that no one would hear him this late at night, so it was alright to cry.
Then, he felt a hand on his shoulder. Flinching, his glanced to the side, seeing a pair of unfamiliar shoes, and as he looked up, he was met with Hoseok's sad gaze.
"I'm sorry."
Jimin sniffed, wiping his nose on his sleeve. "Why are you sorry? You didn't do this."
"Yeah, but I know how much it hurts."
Jimin paused for a moment, continuing on looking up at Hoseok as his sobs softened.
Hoseok sat down next to Jimin, looking at him as well.
"You don't deserve to be hurt like this."
Jimin let out a chuckle, looking up to stare at the stars. "But I was, and right now that's all that I can think about."
Hoseok nodded, reluctantly placing his arm around Jimin's shoulder, as he too looked up at the night sky.
And they sat there together, in a peaceful yet sad silence until morning.
~~~
Jimin and Yoongi agreed to not let any of the guests find out about the affair. The ceremony was scheduled to go on as normal, and Jimin & Yoongi were to act like an excited, happy couple.
Hoseok & Taehyung on the other hand, did not come to those exact terms. They both agreed that this was a clear sign to break the relationship, and continue down their own paths, even if that did mean that Hoseok missed the wedding.
Instead, he sat in their hotel room, his things all packed and ready to go. He sat down on the bed, head in his hands, as the memories from the night before replayed in his head.
But more often then not, he would find himself thinking about Jimin, and how much he must be hurting right now. After all, it was the night before the wedding when Yoongi decided to break his heart. Anyone would feel unbelievably hurt.
A little less then a year before, he had finally realized that he hadn't kissed Taehyung that one day in the back room because he loved him, he kissed him because he was lonely, and the loneliness was tearing him down.
Hoseok had been falsely loving Taehyung, so in his part, he deserved what happened last night.
But Jimin didn't. He didn't deserve any of it, and there he was, pretending to get married to a man who didn't love him back, only to break the marriage moments afterwards.
Hoseok sighed, still hunched over in the dimly lit room. It was then that he realized that he missed Jimin.
He missed him like words couldn't describe.
