Hoseok left before the ceremony was over, calling a taxi to come get him. He couldn't stand the pain that laced the hotel walls, he couldn't stand the way Jimin looked as he walked down the aisle, knowing that he was just putting on a show and that nothing mattered anymore.
He couldn't stand the way Taehyung looked so happy at last, and how he didn't even spare a look at Hoseok when he left the room. Taehyung was finally happy once again, and all Hoseok could feel was heartbreak and pain.
The taxi pulled up, and Hoseok put his suitcase in the back, clambering in and telling the driver where to go.
Anywhere but here.
They pulled away from the front doors of the hotel, leaving all the pain and regret behind.
But Hoseok was also leaving Jimin behind, and he couldn't even begin to imagine the monster eating away at Jimin right now as the ceremony continued.
But Hoseok had to tell himself that it was just Jimin, and he no longer cared about Jimin.
He didn't care.
He didn't care.

Jimin was heartbroken to say the least. He thought he had finally gotten it right, he had finally found happiness, and maybe even love.
But love is an unforgiving cunt.
The warm yellow light of the hotel room lamp now made the room look washed out, sickening to those trying to pick up the pieces. Yoongi was happy now, but Jimin wasn't.
That was the true injustice of it all. Jimin, the boy who loved with every fiber of his being, who smiled for those who couldn't, and gave his all to the man who gave him nothing in return.
Did I deserve this? Maybe this was inevitable after all.
He left the hotel shortly after Hoseok--sitting in a car next to Yoongi. The tension filled the vehicle to the brim, making the “Just Married!” paint on the outside look like a weapon.
"Just drop me off here." Yoongi spoke to the driver as they approached a small shop in the sorely populated area of the mountains. Jimin turned to look out the window, seeing Taehyung leaning against a car in the small parking lot.
Anger and sadness became indistinguishable in Jimin's mind.
As the driver pulled out of the lot and into the road, Jimin saw the men embrace each other in a kiss full of passion and love.
Is that what I couldn't give him? Is that why he left, because I didn't love him in the same way?
I loved him so much.
The ride was spent in silence, rows and rows of trees and blue sky flashing by the window. Jimin was still unsure of his destination, for he had nowhere to go now.
Well, that might've been an overexaggeration--Yoongi hadn't kicked him out and he still had friends he could crash with. But all the places he turned to screamed with reminders of what they used to be.
In this case, they being Yoongi and Jimin.
There was still one more place he could go. He didn't want to go there--it certainly wasn't his first choice, but it was the one place where he could start healing.
Soon remote forest turned into small towns and eventually into a populous city. Skyscrapers lined the streets that were bustling with people, but it was all white noise to Jimin.
Soon they entered a quoet suburban neighborhood, with white picketed fences and families walking hand in hand. It seemed so naively happy, and the wound was still fresh.
They pulled up to a simple white house, tulips lining the front windows in flower boxes. Jimin could see a small space of lotus flowers in the yard, and despite everything he was feeling he smiled softly.
He was safe here.
Jimin felt cloudy and unfocused as he got his suitcase out of the car, paid the driver, and walked up the driveway. His mind was full of static, so his body nor his logical thinking could cause him to turn back.
Jimin climbed up the porch steps, tentatively lifting a closed fist and bringing it down on the door. He heard some shuffling from inside and the jiggle of the doorknob before it finally opened.
The person who opened it stared at him in shock, eyes wide in surprise. They were both speechless, and Jimin felt his mouth go dry. He had to say something--after all they hadn't seen each other in over two years.
"I missed you."
Hoseok looked at him with such a sincere sadness that Jimin thought he would just crumple.
"I missed you too."
