L glanced secretly over at Light, wondering when the other would make his move again today. For the past few weeks they've been sharing several altercation's and were too proud too admit that it's childish.
"Ryuzaki?"Light dangerously glared at him. L didn't even bat an eyelash.
"Yes, Light-kun? "L tuned out the teen as Light blabbered on about all his disapproving problems.L honestly did not care. Light knew he would never change his eating habits, would never be able to resist eating on the bed they shared, would never remove the handcuffs until cleared completely of suspicion, and countless other things.
"Ryuzaki!"Light stressed frustratingly. He was pouting and face heated. "Are you even listening?! "
L stared briefly into Lights honey eyes."Yes, of course Light-kun. " Light intensly stared back his anger radiating off of him. L wondered about Light. Light was the only person besides Watari to be able to hold his stare. Suddenly L had his thoughts cut off by a painful punch to his face causing him to crash to the floor, obviously carrying along the teen with them. L who recovered from the impact first, launched a kick just as powerful as the punch he received, directly into Lights abdomen. They both landed into a heap of tangles limbs and let out all they're energy and adrenaline on each other, until they lay exhausted and heaving for air.

That's how most of their fights usually started. Something triggered inside Light. Lately he's been thinking of any little reason just to get upset with the detective. It's almost normal now to expect a war each day. The detective always brings it to Lights attention that it a affecting with the accuracy of the Kira case. Light and him then get into a sophisticated verbal argument which leads to hours lost of work devotion and they scarcely get any progressive done. An aggravated L also had some sins that he had to confess. He could not say that he was innocent in his actions. He too, had also been a victim in the wacky commotion between the two.

It was early in the morning about 4am. Light was still asleep and L would wake him up at approximately 6am each day. Usually Light wouldn't get any sleep until 2am when they retired from a long day of 'work'. L the insomniac was forbidden from using his laptop during Lights sleep hours and always left bored. To occupy himself he normally just watches Light sleep. Other times he just gets lost in his own thoughts. L glanced at the clock on the bed stand. 3:50 am. He frowned. He was longing for something sweet. On the other side of the bed which Light was occupying he leaned over and quietly extracted a cupcake he stored in the draw. Trying to be as careful as possible when drawing back he was almost successful until Light stirred in his sleep completely catching L off guard. L almost flinched violently but, unfortunately lost the balance in his hands and the cupcake flopped onto Lights face. Light twitched around in his sleep, his hands unconsciously drawing to his face to rub. L quickly dove under the covers and turned his back facing Light. There was a seventy five percent chance that Light had awaken and ninety-two percent chance that he would be generally unhappy. L heard Light mumble gibberish words under his breath and then there was silence. L felt a thick tension in the room and soon regretted trying to get that cupcake. He could have waited a few more hours.  Then he found himself on the floor for the rest of the early morning with a few bruises on his face.
