I don't own Avatar the Last Airbender or its characters. Nor do I own Legend of Korra. Thank you. Ok then, blah, blah, onto the story!!! :)

Today was the start of the trip. I got everything packed and ready to go. Of course, I went and checked on Zuko to make sure everything was in its right place.
"So, in order to find my mom, we need to know where her hometown is. Hira'a was her hometown, according to Azula," Zuko says.
"Well, we have everything set to Hira'a, now we just need to get Appa and say goodbye's. We can then head off," I finish.
I get all my gear up and ready on Appa with Aang's help. Zuko left to get his things and it was just Aang and me now.
"Be safe, I know this will be a long journey so just remember to take charge and don't take any bad choices. Especially around Zuko. He can be evil at times, and its hard to deal with him," Aang warns.
"Don't worry, I will be safe. Aang, there's a couple of things I need to talk with you about. I love you, but things have been complicated. Now, I'm going out on this long journey and it will be a while till I come back. So, I think we should break up. I just want to know if we can be good friends still. Things are going to be complicated and i want to get a head start," I try to say.
"I understand Katara. I really do. I just... hope we can be good friends now. And hopefully, this will work out some other time," Aang sadly says.
A pain of guilt runs through my body as I put the rest of the gear on Appa.
"Aang, I want you to keep this. Keep it safe. It will help you remember me." I give him my mother's necklace with the Water Tribe markings on it. We slightly touch hands. I give him a kiss on the cheek.
"So, are we ready to go now? I have all my stuff." Zuko says as he walks back from the palace.
"Yes, I think we are." I say.
"Have a safe trip to both of you. I hope you find your mother Zuko, but learn to forgive and forget. It will be important." Aang says.
"Ok, here we go. Yip-yip!" I shout.
Appa goes into the air, and we head off into the distance.
