Hi my name is Dakota. Dakota Marks. I am a mate of Tanner Bondson. He attendes Copper Day High. That is a school for the Vampires of West End. West End is located right in the middle of Kansas. However Copper Day isn't just for Vampires it's also for the only two hybrids in West End. Those two hybrids are my boyfriend Tanner and my Bestfriend Xander.

First things first a hybrid is a werewolf vampire mix. That means they are half werewolf and half vampire. Second a mate is when a boy picks a girl from a huge group of girls to be his servant pretty much.
Her reason of being at the house is to souly keep their mate alive and to carry their felgings. The house is where we all live. It's really the school but since we all pretty much live there we all call it 'the house'. But anyways the girls aren't allowed to call the boy their boyfriends.

However since Tanneris a hybrid he can kinda do whatever he wants so about two years ago he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes.

Every boy that lives at the house has a mate; except Xander. He refuses to pick a mate. He says that the girl he wants is already somebody else's mate.
One day I had asked who it was thinking it was Kennedy or someone pretty like that. He said no; and that it was me. Now don't get me wrong yes I'm pretty trust me I can't go a day without one of the other guys flirting with me and then almost being killed by Tanner but I'm not vain like that.
The thing is Tanner, Xander and I are all best friends. However Xander never told Tanner that he was in love with me; as he would say.        

I am patient No.415. At least that's what the elders call me. The students call me Kota. Or sometimes the girls that don't really like me because I apparently have to two hottest boy in town fighting over me and I just take them for granted; they call me Miss. Hybrid.

The elder are the doctors of the house. The elders help the mates that are carrying the babies excuse me I mean fledglings. They make sure every mate has at least two babies every three mouths of corse I mean they get pregnant again after three mouths is up after they give birth. Also they help deliver the babies if they want to; us mates are supposed to deliver them ourselves but some times things gets complicated so they need to help when it comes to that.

Yes I have other friends besides Xander and Tanner. My other friends are KC and Liza. KC mate is Kane and Liza's mate is Dane oh and did I mention that those are my older brothers. They are two years older then me which makes them 18. They're seniors I'm only a sophomore. The only reason I'm friends with Them is because of my brothers they have been mates since they were freshman.

Alright now that you know everybody lets start the story. It all started when we got ""back from winter break"". It's not really a break cause we still can't actually leave the campus. Anyways we had made it though half of the day so far we only had 6th and 7th period. Oh and only the boys go to class us girls just stay in the housing building waiting for our mates to get back. So at that moment it was me and Liza in her baby's room. We were finishing putting the crib together when Dane and  Tanner came inside.
"Liza I'm home." Dane said. We both went to go see what he wanted. I walked over to Dane and gave him a hug. "how was school bro?" I asked now walking over to Tanner. "Fine; long" Dane said plainly.

"Hey babe we have to go back to our room Xander said he had to talk to me." Tanner said walking towards the door. I followed him while waving goodbye to Liza and Dane. When we got back to the room Tanner opened the door and the first thing you see was Xander pacing.

"Xander are you ok?" I asked walking over to him. 
"He's fine it's not him we're worried about" said a old sounding disembodied voice. After about a second the elders come out off the shadows.
