Chapter 4

(Liam's P.O.V.)

I followed Niall to the Go-Kart place and waited outside. I saw him and Autumn race inside and she looked really happy to be with him. I don't really like the idea of the two of them hanging out together. I'd rather have her to myself to be honest. Gosh I should've said something to her earlier. I know I sound like a creeper but Autumn is different from all the other girls. It's crazy how she made me feel this way when I just met her today. I really like her. I hope she doesn't fall for Niall. I got out of my car and went inside to see what they were doing. They walked out onto the track and raced and looked like they were having a good time. When they finished, Niall took a phone call and looked a bit displeased. I walked a bit closer to hear what was going on.

"Sorry Autumn. I just got a call from my brother saying that he's back home and he wants me to meet his girlfriend. I haven't seen him in a year.." 

"No its fine. I understand." This was my chance to hangout with Autumn!

"Yeah.. You could come if you want." Please say no. Please say no! I hurried up and tried to get there before she said anything else.

"Oh no I couldn--" I cut her off by saying, "Oh, hey guys! Didn't think I'd see you here. What's going on?" They both looked at me surprised but Niall's face changed immediately from shock to a bit of rage. I laughed to myself.

"Hi Liam! Me and Niall we're just hanging out." She said. 

"Yeah, I was just asking her if she wanted to go me with me to meet my brother and his girlfriend." He said while looking Autumn in the eyes. 

"Oh no I couldn't do that. You haven't seen him in a year. I don't want to interfere."

"No really, you can come if you want. I'm sure they wouldn't mind at all. They'd love to meet you." He said, basically trying to convince her. I didn't want her to go so I just stepped in again and said, "I could stay here with Autumn and take her home."

Niall looked at me with pure eyes of fury. "Ok, thanks Liam. You have your bracelet already?" She looked up at me. "Not yet. You go ahead, love. I'll go buy one now." I wanted to have a talk with Niall before he left.

"Ok, meet you at the track then." She smiled. I smiled back. Gosh she was beautiful. I wanted to touch her waist, her skin, her body. Just something to show that she was mine and no other man could have her but I can't. She's not even mine so what can I do? Before she walked away, Niall kissed her on the forehead and said, "I'll text you." She said ok and headed over to the go-karts. He tried to make me jealous and it damn sure was working. I didn't like it. I tried to make it seem like nothing was wrong but how could I? I had to stand there with my hands deep into my pockets and gritted teeth. He knew that I wanted Autumn. He just wanted her for his reputation. She doesn't know it yet but Niall is nothing but trouble. Maybe after today she'll see that she belongs with me instead. Niall smirked at me and turned to walk away. I grabbed his arm to stop him from going any further. He faced me and said, "What?"

"You already knew that I liked her first." He snatched his arm away from me and gave me a death glare. He scoffed and said, "Whatever man, looks like she's not interested in you, but me instead."

"Just stay away from Autumn." I spat at him. He's such a dick.

"What do you mean stay away from her? She's mine. and what's mine, no one could take it. not even you." He smirked and I began to feel mad.

"You cant just treat her like a toy, Niall. She's not a 'thing' that you could buy, or could be yours that easy."

He got in my face and said, " Don't you think I know that?!"

I was surprised by his words. Niall's never acted this way over a girl. Could Niall actually like her too?

"Autumns different, Liam. I'm not gonna' use her for sex or drop her like the other girls. I'm not like that anymore. I know how to treat her." He backed away from me as I stood there furious.

"I liked Autumn first."

"Then how are we gonna' see who gets her?"

I came up with an Idea. "We could see who wins her heart." It took him a few seconds to respond but he finally replied with, "Ok. May the best man win." He reached out his hand for me to shake. I shook his hand with great force to emphasize my point. He walked away as I headed inside to get my racing bracelet. Niall thinks that he's going to win her heart but he's got another thing coming.
