Chapter 7

(Autumn's P.O.V)

"Autumn, the reason why Niall and I aren't talking that much is because--"

"Good morning, everyone! I hope your all ready to learn! Today we will be starting a new lesson. We will also be doing a lab. I will now assign you to a group of four. Please don't be picky of your group partners."

Everyone in class groaned, including me. Assigning group partners? Why can't we pick our own! I'm hoping that Liam and I will be in the same group so that he can finish explaining. This teacher is always interrupting something.

"In group three: Gracie, Louis, Autumn and... Chloe.

I looked over at Liam, who frowned and shrugged his shoulders. I groaned loudly and slumped down in my seat. Why did Liam have to be in a different group?! Ugh!

My partners and I walked over to a table and sat together, waiting for Mr. Rogers to tell us the assignment. When everyone settled into their groups, I skimmed over the room, trying to find Liam. Mr. Rogers caught me looking around and called me out.

"Autumn, please stay on task."

I turned around and huffed. All groups got started on the assignment. In my group, everyone was working except Louis. He was talking, texting, playing and mostly flirting with Gracie. Though he wasn't doing his work, he kept us entertained. After a bit, he got caught by Mr.Rogers so he had to help us, which he wasn't so happy about.

"Gasp! Not you too, Louis!" I said dramatically. We both laughed, earning glares from other classmates. Mr. Rogers came over and slammed his ruler on our table and looked at us intensely.We scrambled around and quickly got back to work.

The bell rang and everyone gathered their things and walked out of class. Louis, Chloe and I were the last people inside the room.

"So what did Liam say when you asked him? Is he coming after school?" Louis turned to me as we walked out of class and into the hallway. Oh my god, I had completely forgot to ask Liam if he wanted to hangout this afternoon.

"Shit I forgot to ask him." I said.

He laughed and said, "It's ok., just ask him later. See you later, Autumn." He gave me a quick hug and walked away to his class.

My next class went by pretty fast. The boys and I met up at lunch, once we all got our food and sat down. I decided to ask Liam about meeting up after school since he was right in front of me.

"Oh yeah, Liam, I almost forgot to tell you that we were meeting up at Rossini's after school for pizza and wanted you to join us." I'm hoping that he doesn't have any plans. After yesterday, I must admit, Liam is a very fun guy and I enjoyed being around him.

"Oh sure. What time are we meeting up?" Liam asked. Yay no plans!

"Probably around like four." Louis says, after shoving a spoon full of mashed potatoes into his mouth. We chat until the bell rang and we left to go to our last classes of the day.

....

"Come in." I said after hearing knocks on my door. It opened and my mom walked in.

"I walk iiiiin and I turn up!" She came inside singing while doing some weird dance.

I knitted my eyebrows and laughed. "WWhere'd you get that from?"

"I dunno, I heard it on the radio earlier." She shrugged. "What are you getting dressed for? Are you going somewhere?" She asked, sitting down on the end of my bed.

"Yes mom, I'm going out with friends." I tied my hair up in a bun and grabbed my make-up bag, walking towards my mirror.

"What friends?"

I know she'd never approve of me hanging out with five boys so I'll just say I'm with girls.

"Chloe and I are hanging out with others at Rossini's." I said whilst applying eye-liner and mascara.

I made a mental note to myself to invite Chloe after my mom leaves. I got her number earlier in class today. I'm sure she'll come.

"Well ok.. Just don't be out too late. You know how worried your father and I get. You and your friend be careful and have fun."

She left my room and I finshed getting ready. I texted Chloe and she said that she'd love to come. I'm glad she said yes because I don't like lying to my mother.

I like Chloe. She's a really nice and sweet girl. I could definately see her and I becoming best friends.

It was almost time for me to leave and meet up with the boys. I checked myself out in the mirror. I was wearing skinny jeans, a grey beatles shirt, and combat boots. I smiled to myslef, content with what I chose to wear.

When I got there, I saw Zayn, Louis, Niall and Liam sitting at a booth. I joined them. I asked if it was ok that Chloe was coming and they all nodded.

"Harry should be here sometime soon." Niall said after checking his phone.

A brunnete waitress came to our booth and asked what we wanted to order. We ordered cokes and a large supreme pizza.

By the time Harry walked in, our food was done. We couldn't help but wonder why Chloe hadn't come yet.

"So, Harry, how'd it go with Josie?" I asked.

"Yeah did you make her fall in love with you yet?" Niall joked.

"Nah. She isn't interested so I'll take your advice from earlier and just find someone else." Harry said, after taking a sip of his drink.

Harry's phone began to rang and he excused himself to answer it. Louis announced that he was going to the restroom and Zayn got up to get a refil.

It was only Niall, Liam, and I remaining at the table. I guess now is time to call out the both of them on their bullshit.

I took a quick sip of my coke and inhaled deeply. I started off by saying, "Can I talk to you guys about something?" They both looked at eachother and slowly shook their heads as if they knew what I was going to ask.

"I wanted to ask why are you two acting so different towards eachother? I haven't been here long but I know you guys are good friends and you both weren't like this before."

Niall looked at me and sighed. Liam did the same but instead of looking at me he turned his head towards the figure that was rushing towards us. I realized it was Harry. Why is he running? He had an anxious look to him.

Niall was saying something but I wasn't listening. I was too focused on Harry. Louis and Zayn returned but their faces quickly turned once they saw him.

"Harry, what happened?" Zayn said, putting his hand on Harry's shoulder.

"Chloe!"

"What? What happened to Chloe? Is she ok?" I said quickly. I had so many thoughts swirling around in my head. I was anxiously waiting for his reply when he finally answered.

"Autumn, I'm so sorry but Chloe..she got into a car accident on her way here. She's in the hospital."
