{Olivers POV}

     "After work get us some milk. Oh! And  don't forget to be home before sun down, its a full moon!" Melli yelled as I walked out the door of our apartment. "Oh, right! Will do." I replied. Only a fellow shifter would know the moon cycle by heart. Even though she's a cat shifter she's always remembering "wolf things", as she calls it, for me. I started walking down the hallway. The sounds of my foot steps echoed loudly. I love living with Melli, I mean I've known her since I was 7 so shes my best friend, but holy shit I hate this apartment! Its old and it has a vague smell of smoke. Though the rent is what Melli and I can afford. But hey, for being a home schooled dude who works at GameStop I think I get out pretty well.

     Once I got to the parking lot I got in my car and drove off.

     Soon enough I got to the mall. I started walking to the entrance when someone yelled, "Oliver!?". Without thinking I spun around to see a boy from middle school that I dated. Shit. Fuck. Damn. And once again, F u c k. "Hey, Devan" I replied, trying to sound confident. "What brings you here?" He asks. Fuck, I can't think of a lie. "I work at GameStop, actually." The bad thing about being part canine is that smells are a lot more intense and Devan definitely still has that "doesn't really shower that much" scent. "I gotta get going I'm gonna be late" I stated and walked off. He infuriates me. His cocky attitude and annoying smile. "We should hang out sometime!" Devan yelled from behind. I scoffed loudly and rolled my eyes.

Time passed slowly as I had few costumers, I mean its a Tuesday afternoon what do I expect? My boss said if its a slow day I can play my DS because I guess its sort of product placement. I started playing Legend Of Zelda. After an hour and a half I get a wiff of that familiar "take a fucking shower" scent. Oh, look, dickan- I mean Devan walks into the store. "Hey Oli, what's up?" He exclaimed. I felt my hand twitch. "Don't call me Oli... I mean, I would prefer Oliver." Alright Oliver, stay civil with this shit face. "Alright Oliver. I'm gonna look at the ps3 stuff" He said and smirked. I continued playing my DS. Suddenly I smelled something familiar but very intense. Very, very intense. It smelled like dog... No, no it smelled like wolf. Holy shit, there's a shifter near.

      I looked at the entrance of the store to see a boy with dark brown hair and green eyes expressing the exsact same wide eyed facial expression as me. It was him. It had to be. He looked over at me and quickly regained his composure. He looked around for a few minutes but quickly picked out a DS game. Jesus Christ, he's really attractive. "Oli, do you have Halo 9 here?" Devan yelled from across the store. Okay what the fuck. "That's not even a thing, Devan." I stated harshly. "I'd like to buy this game." The boy stated. Shit I didn't even notice he was standing there, I was too distracted with Devans idiocy. I scanned the games barcode. "29.99" I stated. His scent was so nice. I noticed he was inhaling heavily. Is he... Smelling me? He pulled out two 20 dollar bills. "Keep the change... Oliver, is it?" He asked. I couldn't bring myself to look him in the eyes but I felt his stare piercing into me. "Yeah, and you are?" "Cody." Okay Oliver, just look at him, don't seem like a shy kid. I looked him in the eyes and I felt something. It was like a jolt of energy ran through my whole body. I knew he felt it too because his mouth hung open and his eyes were wide. "I'll see you around.. Oliver" and with that he left the store. What. Was. That.
