Ever since my father bought me a copy of Palgrave's Treasury when I was in my teens, I have loved poetry. My copy tends to fall open at Emily Dickinson's poem that starts "My life closed twice before its close", which remains one of my all time favourites.
I have tried and failed to write poems many many times. At school I wrote song lyrics and tried to put them to music but generally, I failed to make it past the first verse and chorus.
Here I will record my occasional attempts...please don't feel obliged to read them.
