It was already night and really late, and no sign of Klaus. I know that I shouldn't be worried or wake waiting for him but I couldn't help it, the nogitsune just got out of Marcel's body and I wanted to know how Klaus was...

Klaus's POV

I come to the Quarter when I realized it was already night and everybody was probably sleeping so I tried not to make much noise, but then I heard the tv and went to see who was in the living room.

In the moment I walk into the living room, I saw Caroline sleeping in the couch, with a blood bag in the floor and embracing the TV remote control, she looked so in peace that I wasn't capable of waking her up, so I picked her up in bridal style and took her to her bedroom.

Once we got into her bedroom, I lay her down in the bed, I took her shoes and then put the sheets and the blanket on top of her, I kissed her forehead before I get up and leave, however in the moment I got up, Caroline rest a part of her fingers in mine, making me look at her surprised because I thought she was sleeping deeply.

"Love... I" I was about to say but she cut me of.

"Stay the night with me... Just be here... Please." She said with a sleepy voice and a fragile look, making me accept without thinking twice.

I took my jacket and my shoes, then lay down next to her and brought her to my embrace, she kissed me then rest her head in my chest.

"Is there something wrong, love?" I asked because I noticed she was nervous and her heart was beating faster then normal.

"No... I was just worried about you." She said.

"Why?"

"You took forever to get home and I was afraid of you getting hurt." She said making me smirk.

"I'm sorry, love. I just had to catch up with Marcel..." I told her and try to not show how scared I am of something awful happens to someone I care about again thanks to that dark spirit.

"Everything will be fine... This will be over sooner then we think, you'll see." She said when noticed that I was worried, then fell asleep in my embrace. Probably if she was some other woman I walked away because I wanted to have sex but it was Caroline, and I was okay with just having her in my embrace...
