Ansel's POV
After my talk with Caroline, I start to see things in another perspective. Yes, I was still worried about her and the danger that is the supernatural world, but I also realize that Caroline never had been happier since she start to have a relationship with Niklaus.
I know Caroline for years, she is like a daughter I never had, and we have a profound bond. All those years, I saw her repressing her feeling and never had anything serious with anyone, and when we start to live here she tried to repress her feelings for my son but when she admitted that she had feelings and finally gave in, she started to be happy, truly happy. I want that. I want the goofy smile she has when we talk about Niklaus or the sparkling eyes when she's with him or talking about him, I want to be happy like Caroline is since she started to be with Niklaus. Maybe Caroline is right and I should follow my heart.
I decided to go downstairs and eat breakfast, when I as in the hall, I saw Natalie.
"Good morning" I said when she saw me.
"Good morning" she said with her beautiful smile.
"Did you sleep well?"
"Yes. You?"
"Yes." I said and she smiled.
This was starting to be really awkward, probably if someone appeared here right now could feel the awkward and if the walls could say something, they would yell awkward.
It's been so long since I had a relationship that this all seems new to me.
"About last night..." she started.
"I'm sorry. I was way too forward. I shouldn't had kiss you without your permission. I mean, someone like you, so beautiful, with so much class... you can have someone much better than me and... I was, how people say nowadays, 'caught in the moment' and I did something that I have been wishing to do since I saw you but it was wrong of me. And now I'm here talking without knowing how to stop because I caught that from Caroline and it doesn't matter right now. All I wanted to say was that I'm sorry if I was too forward and if you just see me as a friend or an acquaintance it's alright. So, to summarize, I kissed you like I wished to do since the day we met, it was too forward of me to do that, I apologize if this situation makes some awkward atmosphere, I know that I probably don't have a chance with someone so wonderful like you and I talk a lot when I'm nervous." I said nervously and she giggled.
"May I speak now?" She asked with a smile.
"Of course." I said.
"First of all, you are a wonderful man and any woman would be lucky to be with you. Secondly, I like the kiss and I like you. And for last but not least, don't apologize for kissing me because I also have been thinking about kissing you for some time." She said, making me smirk.
"You did?" I asked with a smirk and she nodded while blushing a little.
"I just have a question and please do not think of me as a woman who needs a man to be happy because I'm not like that." She said and I nodded. "Are we together or...?"
"I don't know. It's been a long time since I was in a relationship, but for what Caroline told me, nowadays people go on dinners that are called 'dates'. Maybe we could start with that..."
"Are you asking me on a date?" She asked with a smile.
"Yes. Would you like to go on a dinner date with me?" I asked and she smiled.
"I would love to." She said with a smile and I smirked.
"How about tonight. At 9pm?" I asked.
"Sounds perfect." She said and I smirked then we went to the dinning room where was everyone with the exception of Caroline and Klaus.
"Good morning!" Natalie and I greeted everyone and they all greeted us back, then we seat down.
Caroline's POV
"We better go downstairs. It's getting late and they might start talking. They probably are thinking that we just want to have crazy sex 24/7 and we can't think about anything else than our hot hybrid vampire sex." I said when I broke the kiss.
"I don't care what they might think. I want to be with you... in this bed."
"I want to stay here too but I care about what they think. Specially your siblings and your daughter. They are your family and the people who were always there for you and I don't want them to think bad about me."
"They don't. You are like a BFF to my sister, Elijah knows you make me happy so he likes you, Kol doesn't really care, he just likes to make his stupid comments and Hope loves you."
"How do you know that?"
"Because the day after you all went with Lydia seeing wedding dresses, Hope told me that you were a keeper and that she was glad to see that I finally found someone who made me happy." Klaus said, making me blush.
"Seriously? She said that?" I asked shyly and he nodded with a smirk, I kissed him and then made him go to eat breakfast, when we got there we saw that everyone was waiting for us.
"Finally! Done having sex?" Rebekah said, making me blush and Klaus gave her a death glare.
"Eww! I'm here. I don't want to throw up even before having breakfast." Hope said.
"Hope, don't tell me that you think Caroline and your father just sleep in the same bed without doing anything." Kat said.
"Katerina." Elijah said in a warm tone.
"What? It's no secret that they have been doing it." Kat said and I just wanted to find a place to hide of how embarrassed I was.
"Can we not talk about my son and the girl who's like a daughter to me having sex? It just feels weird and awkward." Ansel said.
"Weird and awkward. That just described me at 16." Stiles said, making all of us look at him. "What? It's true. But the awkward and weird guy got the smartest and most beautiful woman in the world and is about to marry her."
"Isn't he a cutie patootie?" Lydia asked and kissed him.
"Cutie patootie? That's the most sickening sweet thing I ever heard." Kat said.
