Mayas POV
After I was at the hospital the police wanted to question me, they asked me about my drug use and why I went to this certain location to do drugs. I had no idea what they were talking about, I didn't do drugs, I was kidnapped! I was about to blurt out the truth... Until I thought about it, I wondered why they thought this. I asked them about it, they said it's what Lucas told them, at first I was confused, then I realised that he did this for a reason.
"I've only done it once or twice... Just to escape from the real world for a little while but I promise I will never do it again", I said nervously.
"You understand we are going to have to inform your mother about this miss Hart" they said looking me dead in the eye.
I knew they would have too, but I didn't want her to think I was a drug user because I wasn't! I didn't want her to think I'm going to end up like him.
"Yes I understand" I said.
*3 hours later, Katy is at the police station and taking Maya home*
"Mom please just listen to me" I said as we were getting in the car for her to take us home.
"I don't want to hear it Maya ok? You can't justify this!" She said while starting to drive the car.
I knew that she was disappointed in me, I knew that she was comparing me to him in her head.
"Maya I just don't want you to end up like him ok?" She said trying to hold back her tears.
"I know your doing it for attention from your father because he left, it's the same reason your brother did it and I don't want you to end up like your brother".
It went silent for a moment as I stared at her with a tear rolling down my cheek.
"You mean dead?" I said harshly.
"Mom I swear I will never do it again ok? Believe me I will never do this again! I promise you, your not going to lose me like dad when he left and not like Bradley when he died... I'm not going anywhere" I said while crying, my mom was crying too.
"I know baby girl, I just don't know why you would do this after what happened to Bradley" she said while still crying
The rest of the car journey was silent, she didn't want to talk to me at all. As soon as I got home I went to my room to get my pyjamas on, I was half way through getting dressed as I saw Lucas knock on my window and looking though at me. I went over to the window and opened it.
"Lucas what are you doing here?" I whispered
"Wow..." Lucas said while staring at my bra.
I wanted to smile but I wanted to be mad at him at the same time, he wasn't supposed to be there.
"Riley wants us to all stay at her house tonight, be there at 10" he said and then he walked off before I could say anything else.
I told my mom I was going to Rileys for the night, my mum was probably still furious with me so I thought it was be best to go out and give her some space. I arrived at Rileys and Lucas and Farkle were still there. As I walked in I noticed that her uncle Josh was there, I always had a crush on him ever since I was little and when me and Riley would go out places I would always try and flirt with him. Josh never showed an Interest in me really, he would always date other girls which would make me so jealous. I didn't anymore though obviously because I was with Lucas.
"Hey Riley why are all of your friends here when I'm staying here tonight?" Josh said as he saw me.
"Josh why don't you go and read a book to auggie or something?" Riley snapped at Josh.
