Me and Lucas were sitting in his room, I had already text Riley and told her we needed to talk, I was going to meet her at topangas in an hour. I sat on Lucas bed with my legs crossed, I could feel a huge weight on my shoulders. He sat down next to me, I sat quietly because I knew that if I said anything I would just burst into tears. I could feel my eyes filling with tears and my vision became blurry. I looked at Lucas and didn't want him to see me cry, so I quickly looked the other way and tried to hold back my tears. Lucas put one arm around me and I slowly turned my head back around and looked at him. I couldn't hold it in any longer, I had such a headache, I was over thinking everything and I was just in the worst state of mind. I rested my head on his shoulder and started to cry, he tried to comfort me by rubbing my arm and gently kissing me on my forehead. "Maya it's going to be okay, I promise you" he said promisingly. I didn't believe it would, but his voice was so calm and hopeful, I could listen to his voice all day. I calmed down a little bit and started to talk. "I'm a little tired Lucas, I haven't slept in like 4 days, and I feel like I'm gonna lose Riley and I just-", he cut me off half way through. "Shhhh it's ok just sleep on my shoulder". I knew I had to meet Riley soon, but I just needed a quick nap, I couldn't help falling asleep to his voice.
The next morning
I woke up in Lucas bed, I woke up and looked at his face and smiled, I was so happy to be with him in that moment. Then I realised that I was meant to be meeting Riley, I rose up fast and woke Lucas up. "Maya what's wrong?" He asked while while rubbing my back. "Lucas we were meant to meet Riley at topangas last night what happened!" I shouted.
He said "Sorry I must have fell asleep" as if it wasn't important. I quickly got out of his bed and picked up my bag, I was so mad at him. "Where are you going?" He asked me. "I'm leaving, I'm going to topangas to see if Riley is there".
