Best Friends

Chapter 11

          I wake up in Amethyst's arms and look around to soak in my surroundings and remember last night. Once my eyes had scanned the room I recognized as Emmy's I thought of last night. How my mom had screamed at me, "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE YOU ARE NOT MY DAUGHTER!"  when my sister looked at me with love in her eyes and how my dad wouldn't meet my gaze. And then I remembered Amethyst promised I could stay with her as long as I wanted and we could sneak into my house this morning and collect my stuff. I closed my eyes savoring the moment, just her and I lying together in peace. Then I roll on top of her in a straddle position with the sheets wrapped around my chest, giggling to myself, I lean down and whisper in her ear, "Good morning love," her mouth turns up into a smile while her eyes stay shut as she replies, "Good morning,". "Come on, get dressed we need to get my stuff before my parents wake up!" I say persistently and rushed. "Alright, alright, let's get this show on the road!" Emmy answers crankily. We laugh together at her reply and start to get ready for the day ahead of us.

         While we walked through my front door we looked around to make sure my family had gone to school and work. And then I realized I forgot about the dog. The dog. Oh. Fuck. All of a sudden my frickin 200 pound German-Shepard, Percy, was bounding down the hall in our direction. "RUN!" I yell. We dash around him and bound up the stairs to my room where we collect my stuff. Once I had stuffed a couple of outfits and all my school work into my backpack we decide to climb down the tree next to the window. Again I think. Oh. Fuck. We basically fall out of the tree half way down while we were climbing it. Then we ran to the car and drove off to school before anyone who was watching reported to the police that they saw two probably high teenagers jump out of a second story window.

          When we got to school we walked inside and Emmy and I joined up with Rose and Anna. While we were all walking to homeroom we passed the school's hottest new gay couple, Johnnor(John and Connor). We all turn heads to watch them hold hands' and me, being the sassy piece of shit I am, start cat calling at them and Rose, Anna, and Emmy join in of course. Yep, I ship it. As soon as that was over we all split up and went to all our different homerooms. Then of course a couple of hours later it was time for the class with Calum. Kill. Me. Now. I think to myself. As soon as I walk into class I realize that there's a substitute teacher. I am officially screwed over. I sit down and then someone else walks into the classroom, he must be new, never seen him before I think. My sub introduces him to the party as a transfer student named Alec from Atlanta, Georgia. I give him a good look up and down, he's pretty hot I think. Then I notice the cigarette pack sticking out of his jeans pocket, #NOPE I say in my head. I realize who he's going to be friends with...

            It's finally the end of the day so I text Emmy, Anna, and Rose to meet me in the school parking lot where Sarah, Addy, and Kacey are coming to pick us up. While I was sitting down I notice a familiar glint of blonde hair, "ANNA!" I yell across the lot. She turns to look at me and waves, then runs over to me excitedly. "Oh my gosh, aren't you wondering what they're going to tell us?!" Anna asks. "Well yeah, it's just...I'm worried if it's actually a serious thing or if it's just some stupid gossip," I reply. But i knew in my head that I was more worried about getting involved in it. While Anna and I were making small talk we see Amethyst and Rose walking out of their last classes and we wave them over. Once they reach us Rose smiles and hugs me and Emmy kisses my on the cheek and wraps her arm around my shoulder. We all stand there smiling and talking about school and wondering what this little "secret" meeting was about. Finally, we see a bright pink mini cooper pull up and Sarah hops out the driver's seat. She walks up to us and says in that sassy tone of hers, "Can y'all get in the car? We don't have all day!" We all shuffle in and claim our spots(I got shotgun!). While we pulled out I noticed out of the corner of my eye a boy, with olive toned skin and dark, black hair, and then I caught a glance of his eyes, vibrant blue as dark as the ocean, staring back at me.

A/N-I'm soooo sorry for not writing for a long time, but I had dance all week and a competition this weekend! I hope you like the chapter, even though it's wayyy to short!
