I looked in the small refrigerator that sat atop of the small counter in the break room. It was chocolate covered strawberries. Of course.I shook my head in disapproval this could only be one person..

"Tom, what is this??" I say dropping the cards and bowl of strawberries on front of him on his desk.

He gave me a pitiful almost fake innocent look. "I don't know." He picked up the cards and pretended to read them slowly. He nodded and made little scoffs and 'hms' now and then.

I crossed my arms and tapped my foot. He looked at me and a grin broke out on his face. "Dang it, Sierra. How did you find out it was me-did you recognize my handwriting or something?"

I frowned.  "No, It couldn't be anyone else though. I hope you know you are cleaning up that mess of rose petal all over the floor. What if a patient falls on them?"

A look of hurt flickered across his face but he quickly changed it. I felt bad for being so rude but I was not about to let him have his way.

"Well, they aren't even suppose to be out without supervision anyways.." He muttered, his eyes avoiding mine.

"I'm sorry Tom, I didn't mean to come off that way. But..I think I should just keep work at work and my social life outside of work..You have to understand that?"

He sighs and the angry look almost instantly vanishes at the soft sound of my tone. "Yes, I guess I do. I'm sorry Sierra...But I can't promise I won't stop trying," That same grin goes across his face. I just give a small smile without showing my teeth and leave, taking the strawberries with me.

* I see the caramel colored man from earlier waiting at the front desk, where I was suppose to be. I rushed over.  "I am so sorry sir," I say, trying to hurry and get the paperwork I knew he was wanting.

He giggled a beautiful laugh that made me pause for a second in awe, before I realized that I was staring. "It's no problem at all. I haven't even been here for that long," He says this while taking a quick glance at his watch.

I smile and hand him the file filled with papers on his mother. "Here you go Mr.....Jackson." I took a quick glance at the name on the top paper to make sure of this.

"Thank you so much. I will be back tomorrow." He give a glorious flash of his pearly white smile and then we was gone as quickly as he came down the hall.
