I was going to the bowling alley to hang out with Christine and Nolan (he wanted to hang out with us) and he was serious. He had his own bowling bag with his own shoes and ball. He even had a rosin ball and a towel. "Can I use your ball?" I asked Nolan, but he replied, "Its suited only for me because the holes are aligned with my left hand and its to heavy for you anyway." I took the ball out of his hands and bowled it down lane. I loved teasing Nolan. Everything he does is so exaggerated, but the best part is when he starts acting like a gorilla. He literally roars and thrashes his arms in the air as if he was a gorilla. All that is missing is he needs to bang his chest. That is my cue to start heading the opposite way. That is how it is and how it will always be. Christine laughs everytime I do it which is another reason why I would pick at Nolan. She is also the referee most of the time. Other times she sits and laughs. I look up at the score line and I am shocked to see that I am leading Nolan by 5 points. Oh man! That did not sit well with Nolan, but it sat well with me. As if the opportunity was handed to me on a silver plater, I just gave it to Nolan. Then no suprise he got up because it was his turn to bowl and he had a weird looking scowl on his face. I guess he was in pain because of the fact that a novice bowler like me was beating him. He turned around with a smile and on the screen showed that cheesy animation of a bowling pin dropping a bomb on another set of bowling pins that showed a strike. He gave me the look that had "cocky" all over the kid's face. Its my turn to put him back in his place. I got my blue ball out of the bowling machine, and suddenly, I heard my song start to play in the backround. I had to know something good was about to happen.
After my two bowls, I got my spare to tie the game back up. Christine was up and at this point she didn't really care about the bowling part because she was so far behind. She nonchalantly bowled the ball down the lane and got 4 pins. She turned around and looked like she just wanted to let us get to our business. She got three more pins and took her seat. Nolan went up to bowl and Christine said to me while he was occupied, "I hope you win. I want to see his face when he loses." It was a not a simple task as Nolan bowled a 9 on the last frame. I step up and my song is still playing and its getting to the good part. As I mouth the words to the song, I bowled a solid 8 but with a split. I looked at Christine and she looked disappointed. I decided that I want to go for the tie and still gloat at Nolan. I bowled and decided to not look. I turned around and the look on Nolan's face said it all. I got the tie. I looked at Christine and she was full of excitement. I turned around and saw that there wasn't any pins on the other end. I hit the split and won the game! I celebrated with my victory dance and Christine and I basically made fun of Nolan for me beating him at his own game.
